    Basho Talk Hatsu 2018 (SPOILERS)

Congratz to Tochinoshin. Fun piece of trivia, with Tochinoshin's yusho he continues the rule that every Juryo zensho yusho winner would later in Makuuchi at minimum either win a yusho or become a ozeki.

    Podcast - Yaocho discussion

Sumotalk guys just got carried away. While it is obvious that ozeki in threat of demotion tend to receive help if needed, and it is also somewhat believable that Hakuho may have indeed occasionally taken a step back to give others a chance, but those damn conspiracy theories just kept piling up. Latest one I saw was that Terunofuji is losing intentionally to make japanese Ozeki look good, like wtf is that bs?

Steroids in sumo - ONE man has it figured out

I would guess that steroid usage gets more likely as higher you go in rankings. Probably a lot more likely in Makuuchi on average, then in Makushita or Jonidan. Average low ranked newbie probably knows nothing about steroids and has no connections that would be ready to provide them.

    Sumo wrestlers during WW2

From turrets it seems pretty sure that its not Yamato or Musashi, but could easily be any of the other 10 Japanese battleships. Looking at superstructure my guess would be Nagato or her sister ship Mutsu. May be wrong though. Btw, Japanese warship naming conventions are quite different from standard European approach and seem actually somewhat similar to rikishi shikonas. For example there were aircraft carriers Taiho and Unryu, and battleship Kirishima, and I am sure there is plenty of more overlapping.
