Aaah, some folks are just born lucky. Is Asa in hot water? I called this a spa..a dreamland, paradise..an ideal retirement...the most ideal recuperative place... a respite..vacation..or call it what ever you like. As a die-hard Asa fan, am envious! (Neener, neener...) (Dancing of joy...)

I voted with the majority: He'll be safe at Ozeki and compete! He deserves another chance. So far, so good! 3 impressive wins - 0 losses (Sign of approval)

As you may or may not know, the kimarite site is maintained by our esteemed Rijicho a.k.a. Kaikitsune. He usually posts a run-through twice a year of kimarite stats in makuuchi. Previous postings: 2002: http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=97 2003, first half: http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=981 2003: http://www.sumoforum.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1919 Kashunowaka, Thanks! No, I didn't know about Rijicho a.k.a. Kaikitsune posting all those kimarite sites. I appreciate your re-posting the links. Golynohana, Domo Arrigato! I was going to ask if there was a photo in someone's archives showing the ipponzei kimarite but you did me a better favor...you posted a movie link! Shucks, you guys are really super-nice specially to newbies like me, eh? I owe you and Jonas a glass of ice cold San Miguel beer. (Cheers...)

I gave Tamisakari his first vote. He's been my fave eversince I saw him throw salt all over the place - in a very emotional and passionate way to psyche himself up. He never fails to put a smile on my wife's face. The many corporate sponsors also attest to his popularity - a consistent crowd pleaser, hence my favorite. ;-)

I don't really dislike anybody, but after today's bout, hokuriki only because he broke Asa's streak. But his oshitaoshi (frontal push down) - a technique (similar to tsukitaoshi {frontal thrust down} had him pushing Asa backwards and then over) was an exellent move with his initial unstoppable forward momentum. B-)

After today's bout, I voted for Kaio..of course, as a newbie I could be wrong ---again. B-)

Well done..a classic win...Hoku broke Asa's streak...my congrats to him and the poster who predicted this.. (Taking a photo...)
