orandashoho Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Why is Kisenosato the only one with a grumpy face? He could be smiling now that he made a successful reentry.
Naganoyama Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Those smiles are awful. Look at poor old Takayasu!

orandashoho Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 (edited) The yearbook is available : https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4583112033/ref=pe_492632_159100282_TE_item I just got myself a copy. Tiger Tanaka Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Apologies in advanced if this is not the correct thread to post in... I am looking for an authentic (non-reprint) Mitakeumi tegata. I'm running into an issue where the authentic Japanese official sites don't appear to be able to ship to the US. I'd prefer something like this. I remember really liking this style with the handprint and picture of the rikishi, but when I visited the Kokugikan in early 2017, it was before Mita reached his current prominence and so they didn't have this version for him. Can anyone speak to the authenticity of this and whether it is a reasonable price? Any support would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Maybe you could find someone in Japan who would be willing to order it from an official site and ship it to you. I used to have a link to the official gift shop that carried the same items as the Kokugikan but I can't find it at the moment. I have a friend in Japan but he is not an exporter. I might be able to get the link from him. As far as reasonable price, I don't know. The price this ebay seller is asking does include Standard Shipping.

I will send you his email address privately. He would have to order it from the official gift shop, have it shipped to him (he doesn't live in Tokyo), then he would ship it to you. He charges a 20% commission. He's honest & reliable & uses Paypal so you can order in confidence. He pointed out something shocking to me. He said that the Tegata you are looking at on Ebay is only a PRINT!!!! It is not an original! This is an OUTRAGEOUS PRICE for a print!!! If you read the Ebay seller's description, he says, "Items for sale are printed matter...... it's an image". I got confused when I saw the listing because I thought when it said "print", it meant "hand print", as in "original hand print", but NOWHERE in the listing does it say it's an original. I didn't tell my friend that you wanted an original so when you write to him, be sure to make that clear. 1
Tiger Tanaka Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Tremendous thanks @sumojoann! You are a legend and a hero, and I greatly appreciate your taking time out to connect me with your friend :) 1
