Should this photo be transferred to the 'Sumo with kids' thread? I mean look at the size discrepancy. I would probably take 2 1/2 Enho's to match Ichinojo's mass. Yikes!

Well, we're all poking around old threads, waiting for another basho to roll around, I suppose So, I looked it up, and indeed, these two rikishi met twice during honbashos in 2020, before Enho went down to juryo. They split those two bouts, and as hard to believe as it is, Enho beat Ichinojo by oshidashi. No kidding!, Aki 2020, view it here if you don't think it's true:

Yes, I have recently read that is the case. Others here are much better at the trivia and records, including yourself, of course.

I just ran across a story that one of the reasons that Kototenzan had a particular distaste for the task of scrubbing/bathing higher ranking rikishi at his beta, apparently a routine duty of the lower-ranked attendants. He'd have gotten beyond this if he'd won only a few more bouts but someone on sumo forum also said that he had tattoos that he'd have had to have removed if he'd been promoted to sekitori. I can relate to the lack of enthusiasm for scrubbing down my fellow rikishi.

Gagamaru has said he wants live the rest of his life in Japan and work as an entertainer. I think Tochinoshin is building a small hotel in Georgia and will probably return there.
