Thank you so much for the pictures. They're great! (In a state of confusion...)
-
They are great pix! thanks for sharing them. :-) Hakurozan has a friendlier face than Roho, (he just looks mean). Whether he's nicer or not who knows.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!! Man I'm going to have to figure the time change and set my alarm to watch the Nagoya basho. Sometimes moving is such a PAIN!
-
Is the making of the Tsuna going to be filmed? And will his Dohyo-iri at the shrine also be filmed? I'd really like to see both. I'm moving back to the states soon and I may not get to watch the next basho. :-)

Y'all are being silly!

Thanks! and I know how cracked heels feel, they are no fun. Being a diabetic I have to be careful not to let them get infected!
-
I've packed out my sumo book and I don't know what its called to do a google search. Several rikishi wear what looks like a white sock on the dohyo. What is this and why do they wear it? I thought maybe to help with traction but to me its seems as if it would hinder traction.

I have to agree with everyone else, You take GREAT pictures! (Nodding yes...) Thank you!
-
There was NO need to shove Takamisakari off of the dohyo like that. :-) I wish he'd leave sumo before someone of importance gets real tired of his temper and makes him leave!

Kotooshu, Kotomitsuki, and Iwakiyama came to Yokosuka Naval Base Saturday evening. They did the photo op thing with us. A lot of people came to great them. Lots of babies to be held too! (In a state of confusion...)

SPORT Tochiazuma hints at retirement after brain scare Monday, March 26, 2007 at 06:09 EST OSAKA

I'm on a new medication this week ( been very hazy) and Yesturday I noticed he had his knee brace on. I don't recall seeing it at the beginning of the basho. When did he start wearing it and when did he hurt it and how bad?
-
I agree with you. Hakuho won't crumble! Asa Better watch out tomorrow!
-
I thought Miyabiyama hit first but I was amazed at the syncronized landings! I about LMAO!

Thanks for the site. :-D Maybe it'll help drum up some business and with a little support, these guys will advance higher in rank. It also helps me know who people are. Takanohana sure has slimmed down from his fighting days! I see people but unless they are on the banzuke for me to check, I haven't got a clue! B-)

For the first time I got to go and watch sumo in person! ;-) I really enjoyed watching the children fight Tochiazuma and Kotooshu! Some of the littler ones only came up to their Mawashi. The whole day was great, but I have to say I miss the instant replay of TV. Still they look much bigger in person than on TV.

Thank you so much! As always I enjoy your photos! ;-) -
I have a question. Just where is Sadogatake located? I originally thought it was Tokyo, then I heard Osaka. So I was just curious. Thanks.

Kotooshu pulled a henka! lol I can't remember ever seeing him do that! How often HAS he pulled that stunt? Kisenosato looked PO'd!
-
I'm sorry to hear about that. I saw him the other evening on T.V. and I thought he seemed very unhappy about something. Now I know. I wish him a safe trip home and hope he's back soon. I enjoy watching Ama fight.
-
:-) If he could just keep the mind set going and keep his body intact..... (Showing respect...)
-
I don't mind the OCCASSIONAL Henka, But I DO mind when someone resorts to it constantly! :-) Constantly IMHO is not good sumo just a way to win at any cost! Last basho Roho looked good, this basho he stinks big time!
-
I've never cared for Roho much at all, then all that crap with his temper and the reporters. But last basho I started to revise my low opinion of him. He was fighting well, showed better respect for his sport, Was doing good sumo. Now after all the crappy sumo this basho and his inabilty to win by anything but by Henka, I've lost what little respect he had earned and then some.

If it weren't for sumo, I might have ended up

From the time I was able to watch him do sumo, I've liked him. He just gets better and better each basho. I hope he can stay injury free! He should go far and I just enjoy watching his sumo! (Laughing...) -
I thought he looked like he might have stepped on something. He was limping a bit but hopefully its not too bad!
