what happened in 1932? P.S. I started looking at that rikishi opponents, which included Futabayama. I went to read Futabayama wiki page and stumble upon this: What does that mean? Was the dohyo smaller before? The source [1] is Dynamic Sumo by Clyde Newton, but I do not have access to it.

From Nishikigi's score, I thought he would also have been injured, but I guess he is not, since he's taking part in the jungyo? Why did he do so poorly last basho? Is it normal to get this kind of scores for "new" san'yaku?

I understand Takakeisho, but Abi didn't need the win so much. I am not sure Abi was so scared: even if he lost (as he did), no big deal for him.

Why so many henkas on Atamifuji? Is this some kind of "the new guy must not win" mentality? So disappointing ...
