Onosato 3 Aonishiki 2 Hoshoryu 1

I thought he would hit the wall this tournament, so I am voting for "He'll never become Y" to bring him some extra luck.

What a sad basho for Mita.

I had films of my opponents playing volleyball when I was 14. I am sure they have video of their opponents. They're even on Twitch. Watching the Futagoyama youtube channel, I found interesting how happy was Kuwae to be Mita's tsukebito. I can see it's a great opportunity to learn from a better rikishi who has a similar body-type, but I was surprised that he needs to be a tsukebito to get the best insights, I guess so that Mita accepts him into his inner circle and reveal some secrets? Maybe I should also become a tsukebito to understand what rikishi are doing wrong/right, then.

An interesting point, especially if the styles between two rikishi are similar. Learning by imitating successful people is a good skill in life. I would be curious to know which of the two questions rikishi actually ask themselves.

Plus, you get to see poor Stunto being thrown merciless from time to time.

Unfortunately, I relocated too many times in a few years and I do not know anybody willing or that I am comfortable asking. Is there a way to simulate this alone? I have been watching for a 2-3 years all bashos, but I still have almost no insights into it. I start thinking if I simply watch, I won't get there. Any particular things I should pay attention to at the beginning? For example, is footwork the most important basic or lowering your stance?

As a relative new fan, it is quite hard for me to understand what the rikishis do wrong during a fight. For example, did the guy lose because he tried to reposition his arm? Did he move too fast or too slow? Etc. There are some channels that explain a bit of this (for example https://www.youtube.com/@migclass) and I tried going second-by-second, but it's hard for me to understand without a commentary. How do you do it? Just watch a lot of sumo? Also, do rikishis understand this? I conjecture that the ones who do move up the ranks quite a bit, at least to Sandame, just because of it.

I can pawn your kidneys for cash, just in case you need some liquidity.

You should try some introspection and think how did he, of all people, get there in the first place.

Hoshoryu to become Yokozuna and win the sumoforum favourite award in just few weeks?! What a year for him! -
?????????

Very late to the party here, but I still cannot believe (in a good way) that Hoshoryu is the new Yokozuna. I have been following sumo for only 3 years, but I have had always fun watching his matches. Godspeed to him!
