  1. I am glad for him that he won senshuraku, can you for sure say that he will be able to stay in Juryo, even if he drops to the lowest rank? It looks like there is going to be a lot of movement in the ranks around him.
  2. I remember him being like this before, I think it was right after or during an injury.. he was fighting very similar to this... not yokozuna like and even resorting to an henka in one of the last bouts. Might it be another injury?
  3. I would love that, but he seems to have a hard time getting started (awake) sometimes... I fear its more likely someone else gets it earlier than him, if ever (I hope I am wrong).
  4. Yes, I love the fact he couldn't hide himself smiling like a child afterwards.
  5. Sure, but he tries to ignore this and power through like he did in the past and that I don't understand because some of his most exciting bouts when he became a yokozune where more evasive in nature. Now that he isn't 100% he resorts to plain power?
  6. At this point I believe its all in his head, because he has the tools but isn't using them..
  7. Yes I couldn't agree more, I too come to like Kise's efforts more and more, and i would hate to see another yokozuna to retire this soon. Although you could argue many of his bouts aren't won in a yokozuna way, they are really entertaining and thats worth a lot to me.
  8. I am not a Mita fan but why did he attempt such a sloppy henka, I thought he had better chances straight on... : (
  9. Wow did not know that, interesting... thanks for sharing this info!
  10. How good are the chances for a Tochinoshin ozeki promotion if he wins this, and has a jun yusho (double digit wins) next time? Is there any talk? Or does he need to be sekiwake allready?
  11. 4 Hakuho 1 Kisenosato 1 Takayasu

    Hakuho in 2018

I am also saying 2 zensho but not in a row. 69 wins and 22 consecutive
  13. I remember when he first showed up in the upper division thinking that he will be a ozeki in no time... I really hope he gets back there.
  14. he seems a little small tho, but i would like to see him as a yokozuna one day. A threat to Hakuho seems a bit unrealistic tho.
  15. Hakuho and realistic dont go together
  16. thats really hard to swallow, he was growing fast on me.. rooting for him every basho. Hope he gets well fast! Thanks fo the Info!
  17. I am so glad that it isnt forced on him yet, because I feel he wants to go on for a long time even if his performance is not stellar. I think he shares a similar mentality to Aminishki (same heya) who will probably be in makuuchi at age 40+
  18. I dare to say his acne situation was way worse, it got a lot better (just saying) but you are right he had it for a long time. Now whats left are mostly scars.
  19. well thats also a way of describing it... altho I didnt know he was injured, hope its nothing bad!
  20. I hoped for it, so glad it happened... after the Matta let down in the Kotoshugiku fight I was sure Karma would be on his site... and well.. I believe it had a role in it! What surprised me was with what ease he won those bouts.
  21. Wasnt there a yokozuna who got a special title? I forgot what that title was, but it meant something along those lines... (must be a couple hundred years ago sry cant remember)
  22. you are soo right, why cant people just respect him for the amazing yokozuna he is?
  23. Yea, that was brutal, scary how powerful Hakuho is...
  24. Man that would be great, but my guess is.. its probably a showdown between takayasu and harumafuji. I cant figure it out why but something about Hakuho seems off, I just dont know what, and no i dont think "he is getting old" is it, he shows glimpses of the old hakuho in some situations. I cant really make sense of it, as if he doesnt care as much anymore.
  25. Is it right to say that Terunofuji is on a Yokozuna run? If he wins the yusho in may?
