I still can't believe that Kotoshogiku has a real chance to pull this off. I just don't see it happening. My imaginary money is on Harumafuji.

That ran through my head too. Maybe it is too early in the morning for me, but could you please elaborate? Goeido might take his sekiwake position... If he lost today, Goeido remains ozeki and Yoshikaze could have still gone KK tomorrow.

I always thought Terunofuji was lucky that he doesn't need to face Harumafuji. Now I think it's the opposite. Beautiful KK.

Thanks for the mid-week yusho decider, NSK! It's 3.30 am where I live and I have to be at a lecture at 8 am. The first thing I see when I turn on the stream is Osunaarashi in a wheelchair... Now the only thing missing is broadcast dying before the yokozuna bout.

Kotoyuki is another one whom I've never seen touching down with two hands (although I have not been following sumo for three years). Except when Aminishiki made him do it earlier this basho. And the result was hilarious.

Kakuryu is still doing a lot better on average, which is a bit surprising to me.

I'm not a big fan of Hakuho but this dignity-discussion is getting out of hand. Let's give poor yokozuna a break and let them enjoy themselves a bit. Well, at least the ones that can do so...
