Another suggestion I would have is not to punish those who bet under the actual value. Have your points be the distance you are away from the correct number. If I did my calculations right, someone who bet 90 seconds on day 1 and never picked again would have tied for 2nd even though there was only one day in which they were actually closest to being right.
