With our rijicho currently occupied by real life, it is my honour to send out the new bench banzuke put together by Jejima, Sakura and Flohru, with Kintamayama, Ekiogozan, Kaiomitsuki and Asashosakari looking on. This one was fairly easy to arrange and there is lots of good banzuke luck - with the unfortunate exception of upper Makushita. pandaazuma (O1E, 9-6) O1 Joaoiyama (O1W, KOSHO) toonoryu (S2E, 9-6) S1 Bill (S1E, KOSHO) chishafuwaku (K1W, 8-7) K1 Rubensan (M1W, 9-6) Gaijingai (M1E, 8-7) K2 Hana-ichi (M3W, 9-6) Hogashi (M4W, 9-6) M1 Sakura (M2W, 8-7) Holleshoryu (M3E, 8-7) 2 Hokuyutaka (M9W, 11-4) Norizo (M7E, 9-6) 3 Oshirokita (M8E, 9-6) andonishiki (M8W, 9-6) 4 Konosato (M6W, 8-7) Kaiowaka (K1E, 5-10) 5 Kotononami (M2E, 6-9) Pitinosato (S1W, 4-11) 6 Unkonoyama (M10W, 9-6) Susanoo (M6E, 7-8) 7 Terarno (M4E, 6-9) Yangnomazuma (M5E, 6-9) 8 Kasamatsuri (M13W, 10-5) Chocshoporyu (M10E, 8-7) 9 Kaito (M12W, 9-6) Jakusotsu (M5W, 5-10) 10 Kitakachiyama (M14W, 8-7) Akishiki (M17E, 9-6) 11 Metzinowaka (M15E, 8-7) tainosen (M11E, 7-8) 12 Kintamayama (M9E, 6-9) Golynohana (M7W, 5-10) 13 Frinkanohana (M12E, 7-8) Ruziklao (M11W, 6-9) 14 kuroimori (J1E, 9-6) ScreechingOwl (M14E, 7-8) 15 Balon (J7W, 12-3) Nantonoyama (M16E, KOSHO) 16 GONZABUROW (J8E, 12-3) iwakoko (J8W, 12-3) 17 Oskanohana (M18E, KOSHO) Gansekiiwa (J2W, 9-6) J1 Itachi (M15W, 6-9) Itachiyama (J2E, KOSHO) 2 Anjoboshi (J1W, 7-8) Saruyama (M13E, 4-11) 3 Chijanofuji (M17W, 6-9) Netsuzakura (J9E, 10-5) 4 Andoreasu (J7E, 8-7) Sherlockiama (J4E, 7-8) 5 tokugawa (J9W, 9-6) Achiyama (J5E, 7-8) 6 Roundeye (J3W, 6-9) Gawasukotto (J6E, 7-8) 7 Oyama (J6W, 7-8) Basoyama (J11E, 9-6) 8 Yamashade (J3E, 5-10) Takanorappa (J4W, 5-10) 9 Athenayama (J12W, 8-7) VESHANA (J14W, 8-7) 10 Flohru (ms2E, 9-6) Unagiyutaka (ms5W, 10-5) 11 Gusoyama (ms1E, 8-7) Heiyu (ms11W, 12-3) 12 Fujisan (J12E, 7-8) Getayukata (J13E, KOSHO) 13 Kitahotaru (J10E, 6-9) Chelseayama (J10W, 6-9) 14 Tameiki (M16W, 0-0-15) KamiBaka (J5W, 3-12) ms1 Oortael (J14E, 7-8) KonyaGaYamada (J11W, 5-10) 2 Tsunamiko (ms2W, KOSHO) Danjinoumi (ms7E, 9-6) 3 Mariohana (ms6E, 8-7) Mmikasazuma (ms4E, KOSHO) 4 Kishikaisei (ms4W, KOSHO) Homuburyuwa (ms14E, 11-4) 5 shimodahito (ms6W, 8-7) Rowitoro (ms9E, 9-6) 6 Wamahada (ms7W, 8-7) Jejima (ms3E, 7-8) 7 Tenshinhan (ms10E, 9-6) Kyodaitimu (J13W, 5-10) 8 BariiHachiBenson (ms17E, 11-4) Kashunowaka (ms5E, 7-8) 9 aoyume (ms1W, 5-10) hofudaryu (ms11E, 8-7) 10 Watashi (ms3W, 5-10) Andrasoyama (ms8E, 7-8) 11 Kintsubasa (ms8W, 7-8) Beeftank (ms9W, 7-8) 12 Nekonishiki (ms19E, 10-5) Boltbanana (ms18E, 9-6) 13 Kuramarujo (ms10W, 6-9) Fujiko (ms13W, 7-8) 14 Tochiyatsu (ms20W, 8-7) Akokoneko (ms13E, 6-9) 15 Baku (ms15E, 6-9) Kitanoyama (ms16E, KOSHO) 16 Bunijiman (ms12E, 4-11) Kofujinokami (ms16W, 6-9) 17 Kaba (ms14W, 5-10) Marushiki (ms17W, 6-9) 18 Aminoumi (ms15W, 5-10) Rikishimiezi (ms18W, 6-9) 19 Kajiyanosho (ms21E, 7-8) Furanohana (ms20E, 6-9) 20 Banzuke-gai Maeden (ms12W, 0-0-15) Hironoumi (ms19W, 0-0-15)

In - but please not Shodai again! :)

A couple of minor errors: Gonoyama (J10e and J14w) and Tsushimanada are listed twice on the entry form. And is Ms58E Toseiryu eligible (the DB does not indicate that he was a former college wrestler)?
-
Well, alright, if there is nothing to do, but a yusho to win, count me in!

I'll second that: Does anyone with connections to our Spanish gaming community know something? It would be a shame to lose a long-standing game like Ciber Sumo.

Sorry, missed the deadline, will be back next time! Have fun and thanks for maintaining the game!

Ignore Jk17w Takahashi - that was two basho ago!
-
It should be easy to determine everyone who did select Kawazoe by the blank spot in the selection sheet, right? Anyway, I did select him. Thanks for your efforts!
-
Wow, this is the first time I won two yusho in the same game on the same day (or rather within 4 minutes)! Thanks, Neko, I am glad to see that FAWL results are back!
-
Thanks as always, @WAKATAKE and congratulations @MidnightAgent on an impressive jun-yusho. I have to say that I did not expect this one to go to tiebreaker 1 when I saw the scores of my lower division wrestlers.. What a great game, I wish we had at least 20 players!
-
@WAKATAKE No Class Dismissed this time?
-
Thanks Itachi, as always, and thanks Athenayama! In fact, I do not win PTYW that often (given the fact that with ~10 players you are bound to win from time to time). In many other games my politeness that you have noticed seems to backfire lately as others indeed have better luck! :)
-
Congratulations, MidnightAgent - it is great to see another player emerge in this great game!

Promotion/Demotion and Yusho Talk, Natsu 2022
Flohru replied to Chartorenji's topic in Honbasho Talk
There is not much to explain: Winning a yusho might give you some kind of boost, but it will not make you leapfrog another rikishi with the same record ranked ahead of you, no matter how often you have won against him. Not sure how your math works, but score-wise both Daiamami and Nishikifuji should be ranked ahead of Ryuden . -
Agreed, that was the solution that first came to my mind as well. On the other hand I'd say if any of the other alternatives are better with regards to the reconstruction of the spreadsheet, then take that one!
-
That's unlikely - while Nishikawa most certainly was No. 3 in the promotion order, now that he was not promoted he should be placed behind Chiyonoumi. For a similar case see Shimanoumi vs. Asabenkei here and here.
-
Edit: Stupid question removed as it is answered in rule 6! :)
-
No problem, my mistake! I'll keep rooting for him anyway!
-
Thanks, Wakatake, and congrats Pitinosato on a well-deserved jun-yusho! It is always a good feeling to win a game for the first time. :) As for East vs West: I am afraid I have to pass on this one. To be competitive would require a daily extra effort I am not able/willing to make right now!

2022 Hatsu - THE UNDERDOG GAME (TUG) - ENTRY, TORIKUMI, STANDINGS
Flohru replied to Achiyama's topic in Sumo Games
Probably you forgot to confirm your entry - on the final days of the basho there is a confirmation page after you click "next" on the main entry page. -
This "oh no, I forgot to make my picks in time"-nightmare is a real thing: I confess I had it a couple of times about 12-15 years ago! I guess it is a good sign that nowadays I DO forget to enter (at least some of the dailies) from time to time rather than dream of it...

1-5 Pandaazuma (two years of mediocrity (in Panda terms) are enough: the GOAT should be back at the top in 2022) 6-10 Andoreasu (four top ten finishes in a row make him the logical choice in this bracket) 11-20 Norizo (both he and Susanoo are safe bets, but 2, 4, 1 between 2018 and 2020 are too impressive to ignore) 21-40 ScreechingOwl (what is he doing in this bracket?) 41-80 Asashosakari (seems like yesterday that he was in the top tier) 81-120 Gurowake (not sure how many games he plays, but even one might be enough if he continues like that!) 121-200 Mmikasazuma (at least two brackets too low) 201+ Itachi (picking himself should be proof that he is motivated enough, which is the most important thing in the lowest brackest)
