Makuuchi Y2E Kakuryu (link) Does that mean that despite his severe injury and his total lack of preparation, Endo will be entering the basho? Yikes! If this is true, apparently having common sense and caring about the health and future careers of his rikishis are not necessarily qualifications for being an oyakata. (Sign of disapproval...) He made his debut in 1993 and was Aminishiki's tsukebito for many years. His danpatsu-shiki will take place on senshuraku at Isegahama-beya's post-basho party. 2

According to Sports Hochi he just might want to rejoin if the pain subsides, but Otake seems to lean towards a kyujo for the rest of the basho. 1
