I've always been pretty bad at chess. That said, I really love tsume-shogi, so maybe it's my ability to only see a few limited moves ahead that hinders my chess ability.

If you want to play me, my name is Dejima.

My name on itsyourturn.com is Miyabiyama, but Im only open for games of go (or pachinko, of course... maybe I should have called the account Futenou)

To Yakosutsu: even I can beat the strongest computer Go programs easily, and Im just an average club player. The branching factor of Go is too high for whole-board brute-force search, which is the main factor in all successful chess programs.

I know how to play, in that I know how the pieces move and the general aim etc. I've played against little hand-held chess computer games, my dad, etc but I wouldn't say I know how to play in the sense that I know the strategies and know how to beat people. I prefer Spider Solitaire
