Ryukaze Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 (edited) Sweet so if Asashoryu beats Tochiazuma maybe we can have him face Hakuho tommorow and have the yusho winner already decided by day 12, yeah thats exciting.........rank appropriate or not I can't say that I agree with the kyokai's matchups thus far .................. yamaneko Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 well there are still two 1 loss guys, so technically its possible it wont be decided on day 12. But i agree that i dont like the matchups
Jakusotsu Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Sorry dudes, but You obviously don't know what You're talking about. (AsaMoe excepted)
Guest Super Sumo Fan Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Asashoryu vs Hakuho is defenitely on the last day ? I would have to agree. Asashoryu looks very determined this basho. I will be shocked if he loses any matchs.
aderechelsea Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Barring a kyujo it is always the top 2 ranked rikishi in the "musubi no ichiban" on day 15. at least that's what i remember
AsaMoe Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Sorry dudes, but You obviously don't know what You're talking about. (AsaMoe excepted) Thank you very much. Asashoryu vs Hakuho is defenitely on the last day ? The question mark was a polite question mark

In any case, what do you think is "wrong" with the matchups?

BTW, is your aim to make the torikumi the way, that the basho is most boring or most exciting ?
Ryukaze Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 (edited) All I am saying is I think that (regardless of rank) Tochiazuma and Hakuho should be the Yokozuna's last 2 matchups of the tourn, instead of having him fight old a crippled Taikai and Kaio. Get those matches that you know he's gonna win out of the way and leave the more exciting one's till the end, (with Hakuho and Tochiazuma) where the Yokozuna might actually have a chance at loosing! (thus adding an element of excitement to the basho instead of having it wrapped up on day 12 or sooner!) Edited July 19, 2006 by Ryukaze

Of course with the rank thing. In a "normal" basho, the four highest ranked rikishi should fight a round robin on the days 12-15. Due to the injury of Tochiazuma, he will not take part this time (Clapping wildly...)
