Lithuania was cool. But the Finns beat them all... I guess they wear some traditional Finnish costumes there? (Clapping wildly...) And this patriotic hat... I'll give them my vote. Nice folklore. (Clapping wildly...)

Another question: which song will be the worst?

Just now the German song got its first points (3) from neighbour Danmark, and also from Latvia!!

That's already more than i have expected - exactly 6 too much! :'-( (Being unsure...)

You seem to be on to something. They look like clear winners after half of the votes are in.

Yeees, they will certainly win!!! (After the Belarus vote)

... And Finland takes the Yusho with 292 points! :'-( (Being unsure...) (Yusho winner...)

The Jun-Yusho goes to Russia with 248 points! (Applauding...)

The host song of Greece has made kachi-koshi (about 9-6).

The German song has made make-koshi (5-10 or even worse).

Yeah, the Finnish song absolutely rocks!!

Their costumes also deserve a Yusho!! Waaa!!! (Sign of approval)

Congratulations to Finland! (Yusho winner...) :'-(

I actually liked the song too, although I suppose there will be those who disagree (Punk rocker...)

They said on the radio Finland last got even one 12 pointer was in 1977, so I guess it was time.. (Being unsure...)

The Eurovision Song Contest voting is becoming increasingly outrageous. I guessed 90% of the top three votes of every country. Cyprus will always give Greece 12 points and vice versa. Same goes for Ukraine-Russia. Finland/Sweden/Denmark/Norway in a never-ending orgy of automatic point swapping. All parts of ex-Yugoslavia-ditto, goes without saying. Moldova-Romania. Germany-always 12 points for Turkey. Guess why.

It's a frigging farce. No one listens to the songs. And the announcer always says "And 12 points go to our lovely neighbor XXX!!". They don't even attempt to cover up the yaocho.

Makes me want to throw up.

Latvia had the best song tonight, in my mind.

Finland's win was a big middle finger in the face of the whole Eurovision establishment.

Yeah, yeah, it's only a dumb song contest. But dumb as it is, usually the voting was for the song. Now, with so many countries splitting into tiny particles, there is no way any country that doesn't belong to a bloc will ever win.

Mark my words-this won't last long.

And we came in one before last-we didn't deserve even that.. But we've already won it thrice, when it was still possible.

100% OK with you !

Kintamayama : I hope you will thank France for giving 4 points to Israel tonight (Being unsure...)

Thank you Armenia and Monaco for giving points to France :'-(

Last year we finish 23rd and this year 22nd... next year 21st... and in 2027 1st !!!

The last France win was in 1977 !!!!!!!!!

I think that if France wants to win again they should send a famous Russian Top Model (so we will have points from East Europe) with a scandinavian speaking language song (so we will have points from the North) or english speaking (more International of course...) No matter if she can sing or if the song is a great song of course... Maybe if we add some ex-yougoslavian dancers we will add some more points from the South !

Yes, and be sure that their skirts are really short, preferably with no significant underwear.

Not always. The best part of the evening was the announcer from the Ukraine: "We couldn't help it, but our 12 points go to Russia."

Next time they should skip all that stupid "songs" and go right to the "voting" part.

As a hard rock and Kiss fan I personally thought the winning song was very poor, all show and no substance.

Like most Eurovision it was a weaker version of its genre.

I listened to a couple of songs by that group called 'Lordi' I was not impressed (Yusho winner...) . I like most all types of rock music but not what I heard by them . (Yusho winner...)

Watched it live with my parents (who fell asleep (Applauding...) ). It's always the same...the great musicians get nothing, the most crazy thing wins. I liked Norway and Ireland best. The blond powerful singer from (was it Romania?) impressed me. One singer (don't remember name nor country well) had a great background choir...I wished these girls would have sang a gospel song without him... (Applauding...)

Some songs had...let me say... (Applauding...) lyrics. Cher is turkish?

These guys with their "winner song" pure irony. Some people didn't get it. I (Applauding...) till I cried. Maybe you Remember the last years, Gildo Horn, Stephan Raab- ironyironyirony cause the young people don't like "Schlager". The contest got the nick "Schlager Grandprix". Kickin' it.

@ Kintamayama 100% agreement. (Yusho winner...)

To the singer from Greece- I hate "th" too (Applauding...)

@ Fujisan I got nearly each album of Kiss, each of Queen, Aerosmith, The 69 Eyes.....

jep, it was a little poor but ok. They simply had the nicest make up

Europe/ the world should have such a song contest for real artists, I mean real bands, not a group mixed together for just this one event playing a more or less (Yusho winner...) song.

So sorry for Norway and Ireland.

I had heard of Lordi before and recognised the costumes but I haven't heard anything else by them, maybe they have some great hard rocking songs but that wasn't one of them.

I think he was from Russia.

I have all of the Kiss cds up through Dynasty. I have almost all of Aerosmith's cds but I don't own 'Done With Mirrors', Classics Live (I and II) or the boxed set :-P.

Nope, Romania is correct. The only thing blonde with the Russian bloke was inside his head. :-P

They should invent a better voting system. The eurosong contest has indeed become a yaocho event mostly.

But this time, I was 100 % cheered by the fact that the Finns won.

I like hard rock music, and Lordi's song was not bad at all. :-D I actually like it very much

It was definitly better than most of the 13 in a dozen pop songs that made up the rest of the entries.

Belgium's entry was not bad, but nothing that you'd still remember after 20 songs.
