Doitsuyama Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 In the matchup between two of the three leaders Miyabiyama out-tsukied the tsuki master Chiyotaikai to earn a joint lead at 10-1 with Hakuho who beat Tokitenku with a nice makiotoshi. The group of pursuers also saw two rikishi winning with Baruto and Kyokushuzan in typical style and one losing as Kaio lost to Kotomitsuki. The same happened also in the next group with Hakurozan and Asasekiryu winning and Iwakiyama losing. Asasekiryu beat ozeki Kotooshu in the musubi-no-ichiban with a fine uwatedashinage, his second musubi-no-ichiban win this basho after giving Chiyotaikai his first loss on day 8. Kotooshu is now 6-5 and still has to face Miyabiyama and the three other remaining ozeki, and at his current form it will be difficult to get the two wins to achieve kachi-koshi. Wakanosato already is make-koshi despite winning against Ama, ending a seven bout losing streak. His heyamate Kisenosato is down to 4-7 after an turning a good bout against Aminishiki into an isamiashi loss. Tochisakae lost to Dewaotori and is falling back to a shared lead with Kakuryu. Wakatoba missed a share of the lead and kachi-koshi with a loss to Tamarikido and is a win back along with Ryuho, Dewaotori and Kobo. -- Doitsuyama Day 11 Juryo J13w Sumanofuji (4-7) oshidashi J14w Harunoyama (6-5) J11w Hochiyama (6-5) yorikiri J13e Oga (6-5) J11e Tamarikido (5-6) yorikiri J10e Wakatoba (7-4) J9w Kobo (7-4) shitatenage J12w Senshuyama (4-7) J9e Shunketsu (3-8) uwatenage J10w Hokutoiwa (5-6) J14e Masatsukasa (6-3-2) oshidashi J8e Takanowaka (4-7) J12e Dewaotori (7-4) oshidashi J7w Tochisakae (8-3) J8w Kakuryu (8-3) katasukashi J6e Ushiomaru (6-5) J5w Ryuho (7-4) okuridashi J7e Kaiho (4-7) J4w Shimotori (5-6) yorikiri J5e Otsukasa (4-7) J3w Toyozakura (6-5) okuridashi J4e Satoyama (5-6) J3e Asofuji (5-6) yorikiri J2w Kyokunankai (2-9) J1w Daimanazuru (6-5) tsukiotoshi J2e Kasuganishiki (5-6) J6w Dairaido (6-5) tsukiotoshi J1e Mokonami (5-6) Makuuchi M14w Yoshikaze (6-5) oshidashi M16e Tokitsuumi (0-7-4) M16w Jumonji (5-6) yorikiri M14e Katayama (4-7) M13e Toyonoshima (5-6) katasukashi M15w Kitazakura (5-6) M15e Buyuzan (5-6) oshidashi M12w Tosanoumi (6-5) M13w Hokutoriki (7-4) kotenage M12e Takamisakari (6-5) M8w Hakurozan (8-3) kotenage M10w Tochinohana (4-7) M8e Kasugao (4-7) tsukiotoshi M10e Tamakasuga (5-6) M6w Kokkai (6-5) yorikiri M11e Homasho (6-5) M11w Baruto (9-2) yorikiri M6e Tamanoshima (3-8) M5w Roho (5-6) uwatenage M9w Tochinonada (4-7) M5e Kyokushuzan (9-2) hikiotoshi M9e Iwakiyama (7-4) M4w Takekaze (1-10) yorikiri M7w Dejima (5-6) M3e Kotoshogiku (6-5) yorikiri M7e Futeno (6-5) M3w Aminishiki (5-6) isamiashi M1e Kisenosato (4-7) M2w Wakanosato (3-8) hikiotoshi K1w Ama (2-9) M1w Kakizoe (5-6) oshidashi K1e Kyokutenho (4-7) O3w Hakuho (10-1) makiotoshi M4e Tokitenku (3-8) S1e Kotomitsuki (6-5) yoritaoshi O2w Kaio (8-3) S1w Miyabiyama (10-1) tsukidashi O2e Chiyotaikai (9-2) M2e Asasekiryu (8-3) uwatedashinage O1w Kotooshu (6-5) Day 12 Juryo J12e Dewaotori (7-4) J11w Hochiyama (6-5) J10e Wakatoba (7-4) J12w Senshuyama (4-7) J13e Oga (6-5) J10w Hokutoiwa (5-6) J9e Shunketsu (3-8) J14e Masatsukasa (6-3-2) J11e Tamarikido (5-6) J9w Kobo (7-4) J14w Harunoyama (6-5) J7w Tochisakae (8-3) J13w Sumanofuji (4-7) J5w Ryuho (7-4) J4e Satoyama (5-6) J6w Dairaido (6-5) J8e Takanowaka (4-7) J4w Shimotori (5-6) J3e Asofuji (5-6) J5e Otsukasa (4-7) J8w Kakuryu (8-3) J3w Toyozakura (6-5) J7e Kaiho (4-7) J2w Kyokunankai (2-9) J1e Mokonami (5-6) J2e Kasuganishiki (5-6) J6e Ushiomaru (6-5) J1w Daimanazuru (6-5) Makuuchi M16w Jumonji (5-6) M15w Kitazakura (5-6) M14e Katayama (4-7) M16e Tokitsuumi (0-7-4) M14w Yoshikaze (6-5) M13w Hokutoriki (7-4) M15e Buyuzan (5-6) M10w Tochinohana (4-7) M9e Iwakiyama (7-4) M11w Baruto (9-2) M12e Takamisakari (6-5) M9w Tochinonada (4-7) M8e Kasugao (4-7) M13e Toyonoshima (5-6) M7e Futeno (6-5) M12w Tosanoumi (6-5) M11e Homasho (6-5) M7w Dejima (5-6) M10e Tamakasuga (5-6) M5w Roho (5-6) M6w Kokkai (6-5) M4w Takekaze (1-10) M3e Kotoshogiku (6-5) M6e Tamanoshima (3-8) M2e Asasekiryu (8-3) M8w Hakurozan (8-3) M2w Wakanosato (3-8) M1w Kakizoe (5-6) K1e Kyokutenho (4-7) M3w Aminishiki (5-6) M4e Tokitenku (3-8) K1w Ama (2-9) S1w Miyabiyama (10-1) O1w Kotooshu (6-5) M5e Kyokushuzan (9-2) O3w Hakuho (10-1) M1e Kisenosato (4-7) O2w Kaio (8-3) O2e Chiyotaikai (9-2) S1e Kotomitsuki (6-5)
Cammy Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I didn't know who I wanted to win the Miyabiyama vs Chiyotaikai match, either way it didn't really matter (since I enjoy watching both of the guys), but I think I am happier that Miyabiyama won. B-)
sumofr Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Some news of Chiyotaikai after his bout against Miyabiyama ? (In a state of confusion...)
