nabudetoulouse Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 (Annoyed...) why kaio (kesho mawashi with owls), chiyotaikai (kesho mawashi with big red K ) and kotooshu (kesho mawashi with the Bulgarian flag) were presented at the west and tochiazuma only in the east? A superstition of kaio? :-) (Dribbling...)

Because those are the sides they are fighting on today. Also, the ones with keshomawashi with bad tatse are always forced to do the west dohyo-iri. Edited March 25, 2006 by Kintamayama
madorosumaru Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 (Annoyed...) why kaio (kesho mawashi with owls), chiyotaikai (kesho mawashi with big red K ) and kotooshu (kesho mawashi with the Bulgarian flag) were presented at the west and tochiazuma only in the east?A superstition of kaio? :-) (Dribbling...) Because the three of them are fighting out of the West side on Day 14. Chiyotaikai is an East Ozeki but he is matched against another East Ozeki, Tochiazuma, who is higher ranked. Thus, Taikai has to use the West dressing room today.
nabudetoulouse Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 it is only for the oseki because the others never change. I acknowledge that it is the first time that I notice that.
Doitsuyama Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 it is only for the oseki because the others never change. I acknowledge that it is the first time that I notice that. Believe me it is NOT only for ozeki. Try to pay better attention...
Flying_Monkey Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Nice owls though! I do like Kaio's current kesho mawashi... OTOH, Chiyotaikai's looks a bit too much like a logo for a pachinko parlour or convenience store...
Asashosakari Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 keshomawashi with bad tatse Is this another obscure Hebrew joke?
Kintamayama Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 keshomawashi with bad tatse Is this another obscure Hebrew joke? No, it should be "bad taste"- another obscure typo, which was not caught in time.
Kurinoku Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Also, the ones with keshomawashi with bad taste are always forced to do the west dohyo-iri. Kintamayama, having read this forum for several years, I owe (at least partially) to you the good shape of my abdomenal musculature... (Dribbling...)
