If I can understand hakkeyoi.net correctly.... There have only been two previous instances of 15-0 Juryo Yushos :-D The last one being in 1963 by Kitanofuji n(who became the 52nd Yokozuna). The other guy to do it (in 1961) was Yutakayama (Uchida), who made it to Ozeki. So *if* he does manage this feat, great things would be expected :-S

14-1 should be pretty well enough, IMO. There isn't a whole lot of competition for the promotion slots at the very top anyway, and the guys further down (Homasho, Kyokunankai) aren't winning enough to outrank a 14-1 record. 13-2 is borderline, but I think it would suffice, given the aforementioned lack of r
