Chaingang - waiting for a failure of Hakuho or Wakanosato

After three days from originally around 160 players 120 are still in the yusho race. This comes mostly due to the winning streak of Wakanosato, Hakuho and Baruto (!)

I wonder, what will happen, if any one of these three loses.

Anyway. Does any one of the older players remember, that a Juryo rikishi was so "successful" in Chaingang ?

Well, like my hero Stephen Colbert, I'm here today to award some gen-u-wine balls to myself, Asahi, Kitahayate, Yosouou, Sekihiryu, Big-jordan, and Esuteryu for not picking Bart, Hakuho, or Waka.

However, the Brass Balls award goes to the late Hakaso who had the gumption to pick Ama over Hakuho.

Today we have 6-0 Bart against an 0-6 Daishodai. Will anyone chance the Big BB award and choose Daishodai?

next time you meet him Nishi-san ask him ...

this one is the safest bet i've seen. Even Asashoryu-Hokutoriki looks a derby compared to that ...

Here's hoping. I haven't picked Bart yet, and I'm not going to. I'll probably drop out soon, but there is some nagging bit of honor, idiocy, or something that makes me not select him.

Reminds me of the days when everyone kept riding on the "Asashoryu gravy train" - as a result, the CG rules were changed so you can't pick the Yokozuna or the Ozeki. (Shaking head...)

That's easy to fix! Just set another rule allowing only Japanese born rikishi to be picked. Nobody will survive day 5 anymore. (Neener, neener...)

*sigh* that was my suggestion a loooong time back... allow all back in, including Yokozuna and Ozeki, just don't allow consecutive picks of the same rikishi... :-P

No, no, no. We'll allow to pick one rikishi only three times a basho or something like that. And if we go for this option, all players will be eligible, of course. Your suggestion is too much like another game...

If you mean S4, it is not... coz what I propose is that you can pick the same rikishi more than once, just not on consecutive days... ;-)
