aderechelsea Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 gulp .... asashoryu ginishing below Tokitsuumi and Hokutoriki in the yusho race .... life never seizes to amaze ...
sumofan Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 gulp ....asashoryu ginishing below Tokitsuumi and Hokutoriki in the yusho race .... life never seizes to amaze ... personally i think this is the anti climax after his 6 yusho in a year record. it is not uncommon. you are totally focussed on your goal, and when you reach it, you suddenly lose focus.
aderechelsea Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 it's not Asa'a low position that amazes me ... it is BOTH tokitsuumi and hokutoriki finishing with 12 wins and above the Yokozuna .... but i disagree with you a bit on the "lost focus" matter. I think that if he did not injure his elbow he would still get that yusho. It was just bad luck along with poor practice (as he admitted).
