Erkhembulgan Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Kyokutenho finally recieved a title of "Honoured sportsman of Mongolia" yesterday. Among sumo wrestlers Kyokushuzan, Asashoryu and Hakuho were awarded before.
aderechelsea Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 a bit strange that Hakuho was honoured before Kyokutenho ....
Erkhembulgan Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 Yes, it isn't fair. Kyokutenho became Sekiwake much earlier than Hakuho. That's why I wrote "finally recieved"..., finally after he changed his citizenship...

Jakusotsu Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 He wonders, would Kyokutenho change his citizenship if he got the title on time.Becoming Japanese was mandatory for him to take over Oshima-beya in the future, so he surely would have regardless.

Translation please....... again The news is released by Mongolian "Anod" bank in December 2004. Practically it's stating that.... The Mongolian "Anod" bank is awarded as best financial banking enterprice in Mongolia for three years in a row and Hakuho was most sucessful rikishi for 5 bashos in a row. Mongolian "Anod" bank and Hakuho are signing an agreement to establish a Hakuho fan club and "Hakuho foundation". The foundation will work toward strenghtening Mongolian economics through investment and charitable work and for Mongolian-Japanese close relations. (In other words, the "Anod" bank will be using Hakuho's name for it's many machinations) Edited January 5, 2006 by Coo-cook
