Nikoshoryu Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Hi ! after this historical Kyushu basho, and a few days to rest from all the events that occured in Fukuoka, time has come to have a look back on this all again. The 13th issue of Le Monde du Sumo is now online, and inside it you will find the usual : - basho coverage, with daily results, comments and rikishi talks - close-up on the "minarai", non-salaried divisions - latest news concerning the sumo world And as we could not let these events uncommented, this issue also includes : - the history of Kotonowaka's sumo career - a special article on 7 historical records of the basho (including Asashoryu's 3 exploits... and 4 more), but also some other "missed" records. (please note that you'll certainly be able to go through this article even if you don't get a single word of french : figures remain the same in many languages !) Now, before I end up with all the talking, and let you go and download it, I'd like to point out that this issue marks Le Monde du Sumo's 2nd anniversary. Two years of trying to share our passion for sumo with as many people as possible. Two years of being proud of our hard and free work. And two years of joy of seeing so many positive reactions to our "products". So, thank you all for your support... and a special thank to the whole LMDS staff ! The link to our site hasn't changed : http://www.lemondedusumo.com Waiting for your comments and remarks. salut !
Pikenoyama Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Cannot download it. What is saved on the hard disc is a PDF file of 135 KB, which cannot be visualized. Am I the only one. (Showing respect...)
Doitsuyama Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Cannot download it. What is saved on the hard disc is a PDF file of 135 KB, which cannot be visualized. Am I the only one. (Showing respect...) Something isn't working correctly there, yes. With Firefox I couldn't right-click and save the pdf. But clicking on the link displays the pdf-file, and then you can save it from there. Seems like the link isn't very straight on.
Pikenoyama Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Thanx Doitsu for advice. It didn't work for me before either but now it's OK. (Showing respect...) By the way respect to the French team for great work as always. I love to practise my French reading abilities through sumo. (Nodding yes...)
Jakusotsu Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 No problem with Internet Explorer - right-click save-as works here. Brilliant statistics as usual, and a great pic of Kotonowaka in his teens. (Showing respect...)

(well of course above all the history of Kotonowaka's sumo career) (Showing respect...) I really love to read Le monde du sumo and le petite banzuke, beautiful pictures, the rikishi talk, interesting articles and what is not to be sneezed - I can practise my poor french (Sigh...) My congratulations to the second anniversary!!!! (Nodding yes...)
Nikoshoryu Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 Thank you for your congratulations ! Some people have been telling me that they couldn't download the files, for quite some time now, but I really don't know why ! Personnaly, I never saw that case... Each link is correct by itself, and is generated automatically. By the way, if "something" starts downloading, then it means that there is "something" on the other side, ie the PDF file. But then, how come some downloads stop after a few Kb downloaded... that's a really really big question ! I've been asking the people where the files were hosted, and they told me it may be due to "general traffic"... not really satisfying, for sure, but that's all they gave me ! I even found another server, but it didn't seem to change anything. So, here's everything I can say to those having problems with the downloads : - I know the problem exists, and I am really sorry about that, but I don't know where it comes from - ALL the links are OK, and (unless I messed up with something, which rarely happened in the past), there's ALWAYS a correct and complete file corresponding. - so, if your download stops before it should, you may try again, until it works. - Maybe try to reload the page (hit "F5" button on your keyboard) - Maybe also try and come back later - and at last, before you start thinking "ok, they don't want me do read it, then I won't", please send an email, and I'll send it privately in an attached file
