Well.... 9 matches done.... 7-2... Tamanoshima tomorrow... + Asa, 2 ozekis, Hakuho and, potentially Kokkai or similar....

Can probably "survive" up to 3 more losses... Looking ok, I'd say... so far...!

I think asa is a guaranteed loss...he looked terrible against him last basho. THe ozekis i think will put up a good fight...not wanting another ozeki in the ranks, putting more pressure on them.

Hakuho also will be a tough bout.

Its definiately no walk in the park....i think hes only chance at the 3 wins are tomorrow, possibly Kaio, and then MAYBE hakuho. Would be funny if we saw a double henka in the hakuho bout.

it certainly won't be a walk in the park, but still I wouldn't use the words "only chance" (Applauding...) he has every chance to make it. he has won against all of these 4 - Asa, Kaio, Chiotaykai & Hakuho in the last 3 basho and has nothing to be afraid of. (Applauding...)

It may be funny, but if Kotooshu is serious about the Ozeki promotion, he would be very silly to turn to a henka. (Applauding...) After all, they do look at the sumo content.

I feel bad for Oshu cause it's obvious he has been changing his sumo this basho to have a better chance at getting promotion, check out his Yorikiri count (by far the most boring yet accepted way to take someone out)

I dunno, maybe he's just getting better and doesn't have to use throws at the edge when he's trapped anymore, but I personally find all this Yorikiri / Oshidashi / what not boring. Bring back the throws! (I was stupid...)
