Akebono debuted his new look at the All-Japan pro-wrestling show on the 19th.

That's him in the middle wearing the black and orange garb and face paint (as if anyone needed to point him out). This "version" of Akebono's wrestling "character" is known as "Great Bono" and is modeled after his mentor Keiji Muto's "Great Muta" alter-ego.

It's certainly a long way from Yokozuna to this isn't it? :-)

And he saved his mentor from losing by spewing that fog from his mouth, thus giving the Great duo their win.

It's better than K-1, that's for sure -- at least he can potentially put up a good show here. That costume does look a bit silly to me, though, but so does most (non-competitive) wrestling.
