Asashouryuu's boy 's name

Asashouryuu's newborn son is named after a famous Mongolian Sumo Yokozuna from 1920. Transcription of Mongolian names is virtually impossible, but it's something like Jamiandorj Jamian. The "dorj" in the first part is of course Asa's real name. Damien, I guess.. The name was chosen by his father. "Just going by the name , he seems tremendously strong", said Asashouryuu, after seeing him in the hospital upon returning from Las Vegas. Yesterday, his daughter joined him on the jungyo, and the resulting pictures need no explanation:

By the way, is Asashoryu's real name Dagvadorj (or something like that.... It looks like Dark Vador anyway....) or am I wrong?

The Mongolian names in their short form consist of father's name and own name, so new born child’s name would be Dagvadorj Jamyandorj, literally Jamyandorj son/daughter of Dagvadorj. Jamyan is indeed a legendary name in Mongolian wrestling. Nazagiin Jamyan was a very big and strong man, about 2,30m (~ 8 feet 2) tall, so that people gave him a surname “Buur”, what means a male camel in Mongolian. He won the Naadam tournament two times n 1926 and 1927, thus becoming a “Dayan Avarga”, and made to the final bout once in 1925. By the way “Buur” Jamyan’s grand son Usuhbayar has 3 naadam titles under his belt, the resent one in 2005, and is a “Dalay Avarga” of Mongols in his peak. So in overall a good choice of a name for a future boh.
