Senpai Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Looks like some of the games are down .. like ISP, sekitoto and bench. All in same time .. is that somekind of conspiracy? ;-)
Golynohana Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 no conspiracy, the unaccesible games are all on the same server.
Takamueda Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 All pages are on the sumogames.com server, it's no conspiracy. In the past the page was mostly back online after a few hours, so don't worry.
Asashosakari Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I'm amazed that it took so long for somebody to post about it. ;-) FWIW, as far as I noticed the server's been down at least since today's bouts ended (i.e. 4 hours ago).
Fujisan Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I'm amazed that it took so long for somebody to post about it. B-) FWIW, as far as I noticed the server's been down at least since today's bouts ended (i.e. 4 hours ago). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was going to mention it but I would only have been told off for constant moaning besides it seems to happen at least once a basho, just gotta be patient :-P
Jejima Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 On the Bench Sumo Mailing list, Kofuji said that he is waiting a couple of hours before calling Akisunni to reboot, as it is currently only about 5 or am where he is :-P
Jakusotsu Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 as it is currently only about 5 or am where he is<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, but :-P
Golynohana Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I will be online only one more hour today. If sumogames.com server is still down, who can I send my pick to? I guess it is Kintamayama (ISP), Jejima (Bench Sumo) and Zenjimoto (Sekitoto), but i am not 100% sure. I will be grateful for any advise.
Azumashida Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I guess it is Kintamayama (ISP), Jejima (Bench Sumo) and Zenjimoto (Sekitoto), but i am not 100% sure. I will be grateful for any advise. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sekitoto should be working, it's not on the sumogames server.
Takamueda Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Only the main page works. Entry and Results are on the server.
Golynohana Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I think entry form and results page are on the sumogames.com, because they use the database to get results and to enter picks.
Fujisan Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I guess it is Kintamayama (ISP), Jejima (Bench Sumo) and Zenjimoto (Sekitoto), but i am not 100% sure. I will be grateful for any advise. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course knowing what the ISP bout was would help :-P I'm just hoping my mate will take pity on my plight. B-)
Azumashida Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Only the main page works. Entry and Results are on the server. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, my mistake (I only play Oracle and Quad but not Toto, I should have shut up) About Bench Sumo, there's a message by Jakusotsu on the bench_sumo yahoo group that reads: "Dear BSers, the sumogames servers is still taking a nap. If it still won't work until Your bedtime is closing in, You may send Your line-ups for tomorrow to the daily goyji of Your division: Makuuchi Kuramarujo (klemmerj@...) Juryo Fluffyyama (Fluffyyama@...) Makushita chabonowaka (monkey@...) Sandanme Jakusotsu (jakusotsu1@...) Jonidan Tsunamiko (susi.m@...) worried Jakusotsu"
Senpai Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 So, as day is nearing to his end games looks to be still down as they were already when juryo started .. Is there any hope for improvement? Hoping for the best!
Golynohana Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 (edited) Its alive again !!! :-P (but day 5 results are missing ... I hope they are stored somewhere in database) Edited September 15, 2005 by Golynohana
Naganoyama Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Its alive again !!! :-P(but day 5 results are missing ... I hope they are stored somewhere in database) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope so too. My best day ever on Sekitori Toto! (Also Sekitori Toto not yet set up for Day 6.)
Zentoryu Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 The results grabber may have choked... someone will probably need to give it a kick...

AsaMoe Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe some of us are taking the sumo games too serious ? If the server is down for half a day, so what ? Worst thing is, that you have to make an autopick on most games (but ALL are making an autopick) and loose a few games without an autopick. Do you really think it is appropriate sending the picks by email to the administrator ? BTW, how donates 2$ per game anyway ?
Golynohana Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Do you really think it is appropriate sending the picks by email to the administrator ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why not. When the server was down for a couple of days few bashos ago, sending picks to administrators was the only way to play the games. I have just sent my sekitoto picks to Zenjimoto. I hope I've sent it to the right e-mail address (Pray...)
Kashunowaka Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe some of us are taking the sumo games too serious ?If the server is down for half a day, so what ? Worst thing is, that you have to make an autopick on most games (but ALL are making an autopick) and loose a few games without an autopick. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. And neither does the sumo tournament in itself. But we are not here to solve world poverty, we are here to enjoy sumo and light-hearted sumo gaming. So if the games server doesn't run, it is a nuisance, because it spoils part of the fun.
Takanorappa Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 ISP is up, but it looks like Guessbusters, Inc needs to make a pick for today before we can enter a guess. (West wins...) Or maybe we can guess which bout will be picked. I suppose that's the ol chicken before the B-) , though. With all this time, GB is sure to come up with a good one :-P
Kashunowaka Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Torikumi and kekka have been grabbed, so everything seems fine. (Apart from ISP bout?)
Fujisan Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Maybe some of us are taking the sumo games too serious ?If the server is down for half a day, so what ? Worst thing is, that you have to make an autopick on most games (but ALL are making an autopick) and loose a few games without an autopick. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Main worry for me is if Sekitoto goes down not only would it be an automatic loss,it has a knock on effect to other games not on the sumogames server like Sumo game and Banzai where I use information on the Toto site to make my picks and I would feel lost without that now. (Help me...)
Jejima Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Everything (including ISP bout) is now okay. Panic over for the time being (Help me...)
