I can understand the "There is not much interesting to write about during a Basho", but..........

Why not an analysis of Azuma's bout?

Is Tooyama not allowed to do that? Futeno-zeki does.

Futenou -zeki analyzes his own bouts. Do you think a tsukebito can even think of analyzing his otibekust's bout, let alone in public on a blog?????

I don't think everybody knows that the Blog isn't written by Azuma.

Sure, Tooyama isn't allowed to analyze, but he is kinda writing "as" Azuma...

Ok. Azuma is an Ozeki going for Yokozuna. I think he doesn't think it is worthy of his station to do that.

Well, I guess the thought behind this is since it's written by the same guy, well.. Culturally, I mean, it's quite the same, but I guess ethnically, technically and radically, it isn't. Now, if one of them was circumcised (should be spelled "circum-sized", I think) or had a blow torch for the wall , then, notwithstanding, I move to disqualify.

There simply isn't a real word (at least, one that I know) for it, so this seemed good enough..

I live on a tree. No neighborhood would have me for fear of catching what I probably have.

But the view is nice, food is cheap, and women show their intent by throwing bricks at me.

Only two days remaining for Haru Basho!

My next bout has been scheduled for tomorrow (Day 14).

I would like to get a nice win to wrap up the basho.

Hello! This is Tooyma.

Thank you for cheering for us this basho!

Because of your support, I had a record of 5 wins and 2 losses.

I will gambarize again next basho.

Well, with Haru Basho ending yesterday, we have a week off from keiko starting today.

The time off after a basho is the only real sustained vacation time we have so

we really look forward to it.

My first thoughts this morning as I awoke was,

:-O ...I feel really bad for all of the guys...but oh man Ikeda that is horrible, looks like he needs a little (Clapping wildly...) and maybe a (Second prize...) and then he can (Sigh...) and (Clapping wildly...) to get his mind off of his (Yusho winner...) or he could just try this (Dribbling...)

(I am not worthy...) Gasp. I know it's not nice laughing at other people's misfortune... Well, at least now we know the answer to age-old question: which finger do (some) rikishi use to pick their noses?

Reminds me of a short rhyme by unknown poet:

You can pick your friends,

You can pick your nose.

But you can't roll your friends

into little green balls.

(Clapping wildly...)

I think he uses the pinky, because that is probably the only finger that would fit (Punk rocker...)

and that rhyme is pretty funny

Ouch, Tooyama-san!

I'm glad you guys are willing to do this sport, which I love to watch and in general, obsess upon. I appreciate your efforts!

But I am WAY too chicken --- knitting is more my speed, even though it *is* performed with long sharp objects! (Blushing...)

BBQ on Senshuraku

Hello! This is Tooyma.

I got some pictures from the barbeque dinner after the senshuraku wrap-up so

I would like to post them here for you today.

The photo on top shows Tooyama eating yakiniku.

It was unbeelievably deelicious . . . but

An obviously inebriated Amanowaka showed up!!!
