ilovesumo Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I can understand the "There is not much interesting to write about during a Basho", but.......... Why not an analysis of Azuma's bout? Is Tooyama not allowed to do that? Futeno-zeki does.

Is Tooyama not allowed to do that? Futeno-zeki does. Futenou -zeki analyzes his own bouts. Do you think a tsukebito can even think of analyzing his otibekust's bout, let alone in public on a blog????? Come on Ilovesumo, you know better than that..
ilovesumo Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) I don't think everybody knows that the Blog isn't written by Azuma. Sure, Tooyama isn't allowed to analyze, but he is kinda writing "as" Azuma... Edited March 22, 2006 by ilovesumo

Ok. Azuma is an Ozeki going for Yokozuna. I think he doesn't think it is worthy of his station to do that.
Sasanishiki Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Do you think a tsukebito can even think of analyzing his otibekust's bout, I love the new word! (You are going off-topic...)

Sure, Tooyama isn't allowed to analyze, but he is kinda writing "as" Azuma... I'm not following...isn't this the thread for the Tamanoi blog, not the Tochiazuma blog? Well, I guess the thought behind this is since it's written by the same guy, well.. Culturally, I mean, it's quite the same, but I guess ethnically, technically and radically, it isn't. Now, if one of them was circumcised (should be spelled "circum-sized", I think) or had a blow torch for the wall , then, notwithstanding, I move to disqualify. OBJECTION!! OVERRULED!! Gyoji: "The defendant may rise." Shinpan for the prosecution:"Did you or did you not on the day of March 22, 2006 lose a bout to the man known as KaioU, and by doing so forfeited your quest for the tsuna?" Tochiazuma the Meek:"I did my best, and owe it all to the hata hata!" Crowd: "ZZZZZ" Gyoji :"Silence in my court! Members of the jury, have you reached a verdict?"" Kokonoe: "Yes we have, your nokotta nokotta. We find the defendant healthy as charged." Gyoji: "Right then! I sentence you to try Chiyotaikai's training methods for two years, after which you shall be forbidden to say the words "Gambarize", "tsuna, "tuna" and to mention any species of yak till kingdom come or next Wednesdy, whichever comes first!!" Crowd: "Moola Moola!" Gyoji: "This court is now deranged!" Curtain. Soft music. Recurring dreams of drowning in the sea. Culture?

Petr Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Kintamayama is genius. Are you respected in your neighbourhood as on this forum?
Kintamayama Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Kintamayama is genius. Are you respected in your neighbourhood as on this forum? I live on a tree. No neighborhood would have me for fear of catching what I probably have. But the view is nice, food is cheap, and women show their intent by throwing bricks at me.

madorosumaru Posted March 27, 2006 Author Posted March 27, 2006 03/27/06 The Other Battle Hello! This is Tooyma. Thank you for cheering for us this basho! Because of your support, I had a record of 5 wins and 2 losses. I will gambarize again next basho. Well, with Haru Basho ending yesterday, we have a week off from keiko starting today. The time off after a basho is the only real sustained vacation time we have so we really look forward to it. My first thoughts this morning as I awoke was,
Cammy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 :-O ...I feel really bad for all of the guys...but oh man Ikeda that is horrible, looks like he needs a little (Clapping wildly...) and maybe a (Second prize...) and then he can (Sigh...) and (Clapping wildly...) to get his mind off of his (Yusho winner...) or he could just try this (Dribbling...)
aderechelsea Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 broken nose for Ikeda i guess had been through this in the past ant it doesn't make you look good...
Manekineko Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 03/27/06I broke my pinky in one of the later bouts. :'-( [...] I won
Cammy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 (I am not worthy...) Gasp. I know it's not nice laughing at other people's misfortune... Well, at least now we know the answer to age-old question: which finger do (some) rikishi use to pick their noses?Reminds me of a short rhyme by unknown poet: You can pick your friends, You can pick your nose. But you can't roll your friends into little green balls. (Clapping wildly...) I think he uses the pinky, because that is probably the only finger that would fit (Punk rocker...) and that rhyme is pretty funny
sumolady Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Ouch, Tooyama-san! I'm glad you guys are willing to do this sport, which I love to watch and in general, obsess upon. I appreciate your efforts! But I am WAY too chicken --- knitting is more my speed, even though it *is* performed with long sharp objects! (Blushing...) Angie, in Texas, US
madorosumaru Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 03/29/06 BBQ on Senshuraku Hello! This is Tooyma. I got some pictures from the barbeque dinner after the senshuraku wrap-up so I would like to post them here for you today. The photo on top shows Tooyama eating yakiniku. It was unbeelievably deelicious . . . but An obviously inebriated Amanowaka showed up!!! For some God-forsaken reason, he was topless, wearing just a paper bib. And gets into a self-described
