Kintamayama Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 (edited) Since it seems to not be found yet.. Tokitsuumi, Wakatoba, Kasugaou and Shimotori promoted. Osh Sekiwak East, Wakanosato Sekiwake West, Asashouryuu Yokozuna (!!). I'll try to update as I find out. Edited August 28, 2005 by Kintamayama

Guest Kajimoto Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Does anyone have the complete banzuke? Actually, I'm mostly just curious about an 80 kg rikishi from the Kokonoe beya, Uchi (East Jonidan 43 in Nagoya). I got to watch him kicking ass in July and I'm wondering where he landed. Thanks a million! Oh, and go Baruto!

Thanks a million! Oh, yes. I've been following Uchi since May myself. 6-1 in Nagoya, and a nice kid, too! (Eh?)
Asashosakari Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Does anyone have the complete banzuke? Whoever admins the Izutsu-beya website just finished writing up the whole thing here a few minutes ago (Japanese only, of course). Actually, I'm mostly just curious about an 80 kg rikishi from the Kokonoe beya, Uchi (East Jonidan 43 in Nagoya).<{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's Sandanme 78 West.
Kintamayama Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 Ichinoya is Jonidan 59 W and coming on strong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, he took a big drop from east 25, as he usually does at these heights.

Glad to see the little guy made Sandanme.
Jejima Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Kotomitsuki K Futenou <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wonder what his blog will say, now that he has reached sanyaku?
Sakana Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Does anyone have the complete banzuke? Actually, I'm mostly just curious about an 80 kg rikishi from the Kokonoe beya, Uchi (East Jonidan 43 in Nagoya). Yes, Uchi is an interesting rikishi. If I'm remembering well, he did a good basho in march (and a make-koshi in may). With a friend, we're following him too. (Eh?) :-D
Kintamayama Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 (edited) Some trivia; For the first time in 13 basho there is no shin-new-maku. Osh making it to Sekiwake in 17 basho (not counting tsukedashi riishi of course) ties him with Tochiazuma for the second quickest since the advent of the six basho per year system. Futenou is the 33rd ex-college sanyaku rikishi. And other stuff. Edit: Oh yeah, and he's tied now with Akebono for the longest run as a sole Yokozuna, 11 bashos. This record will be broken of course next basho. Edited August 29, 2005 by Kintamayama
Pikenoyama Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Thanks Kinta-san for posting the banzuke and for having the English Makushita banzuke on his site (as stated in other topic) :-D . Since Bandey's full banzuke in English is my only source, can somebody please ease my mind by telling me where the ex-Juryos Kotonomine and Tochifudo has ended for this turney (upper Sandanme for both of them?). Thanks a lot for any reply (Eh?)
