Feginowaka Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 (edited) Our only Ozeki made his usual minimal kk to hold his rank and the top Ozeki candidate Hoshifransu failed with a dismal 5-10 (after scoring 9-6 and 12-3 in the previous 2 Basho). For next Basho we have an Ozeki contender again after scoring 9-6 and 10-5 in the recent 2 Basho: Maguroyama. This must have been a difficult basho for a change as the average score was below 7.0 ! For the players it might have been unpleasant, but for me as Banzuke maker it was a delight :-P Therefore scoring a kk was worth a mint: In Makushita some players got heavy promotions with a simple 8-7. The bigger the kk, the bigger the promotion, especially in the lower divisions. Any 10-5 in Juryo was enough for promotion to Makuuchi, even from J10e. Ok, enough talk for now, here is the ISP Banzuke for Nagoya Basho 2005: MakuuchiEkigozan (Oe 8-7) Edited June 10, 2005 by Feginowaka

(Oops! ) Fortunately the Banzuke doesn't change that much and I will correct it immediatly.
Sakana Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 ms50 Sakana (ms46w 4-11) You can count me as "RETIRED". I stop this game. I'm too bad ^_^,,,,, It's official now (Blinking...) Thanks you. ;-)
Fujisan Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Normally J12w-J8w would be what I consider a lucky promotion with an 8-7 W/L record but after scrapping my way from 2-7 on day 9 I think I earnt it. (Nodding yes...) (Punk rocker...) (Applauding...)
AsaMoe Posted June 18, 2005 Posted June 18, 2005 AsaMoe (ms30w 8-7) I think i will make a personal goal list for the sumo games in 2005/2006. This will include: * surpassing Fujisan in ISP (big challenge i think) * surpassing Ryukaze in Sumogame * becoming a Ozeki in Hoshitori (far away after the last 1-14) * making the first five rounds in Chain gang * making a kk in S4 * promotion to Makushita in Bench (i already made a kk in S4)

I guess 8 KKs in a row is something to be proud of but I'm just getting started,I have my eyes set on Makuuchi. (Dribbling...) As for sumo game I think my 8 KKs in 9 basho playing the game is nothing to be sniffed at either- Another game I hope to be in Makuuchi by the beginning of next year. :-D
AsaMoe Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I'm not sure whether to be honoured or scared that you use me as a bench mark in ISP Asamoe Unfortunately, you should be more honored than scared, as there is only a VERY SMALL possibility of this to happen. But i am used to high targets. This remainds of something off-topic: Back in the mid of the nineties i was a member of an internet chess club (gics = german interchess server) and someone wrote a c++ program, which also played on the server. The program was awfully bad and it was very easy to beat it. At least if you are a regular. One day, with a couple of pieces more than the program i produced a stalemate. After this i became a benchmark for chess programs. If someone remembers, my name in these times was moe, i think.
