sekihiryu Posted May 22, 2005 Author Posted May 22, 2005 yes that sure is a mega bundle of envelopes, the thought crossed my mind on day 14 to do a joke and create a thread - "Asashouryu goes Kyujo" - with a badly sprained wrist, from lifting all those Kensho (Sigh...)

Jejima Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Asashoryu says, "Give a big wave to all those nice people from the sumo forum."
Kintamayama Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Ms. Uchidate and some of her deshi at the college club she coaches. Maybe she really isn't that bad. Her love of Sumo could actually really be behind it all.:

Jonosuke Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 (edited) While I am at it....here are the Yusho rikishis Juryo and below. (from left to right) Juryo: Tochisakae "I set my mind that it would be the same heya kettei-sen for the yusho. This morning when I saw Tochinohana-zeki at the training dohyo, he looked to be in a pretty condition so to be honest I really hated to face him. However I also wanted him to do well. Then when I saw him lose right in front of me and realized that I won the Yusho, I was so relieved (laughs). This is my second Juryo Yusho. The key this basho was the fact that I was able to push forward. I was doing well and felt good since prior to the basho. I guess this sealed my return to Makkuuchi. The last time (this Hatsu Basho) I got injured and missed the whole basho and fell down, so I hope to train hard and rebuild my body so I won't be so injury prone." Makushita: Ushiomaru Azumazeki-Beya from Shizuoka Prefecture. Dohyo debut: Haru Basho, 1994. Height: 176 cm Weight: 171 kg. Born: May 11, 1978. Favorite technique: Tsukioshi. Sandanme; Hoshizakura Hakkaku Beya from Mongolia. Dohyo debut: Kyushu Basho, 2000. Height: 183 cm Weight: 130 kg. Born: Jan 6, 1984. Favorite technique: Tsukioshi. Jonidan: Kadomoto Sakaigawa Beya from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Dohyo debut: Hatsu Basho, 2005. Height: 183 cm Weight: 151 kg. Born: Nov. 16, 1984. Favorite technique: Tsukioshi. Jonokuchi: Nakanishi Ounomatsu Beya from Tokyo. Dohyo debut: Haru Basho, 2005. Height: 187 cm Weight: 157 kg. Born: Aug 21, 1982. Favorite Technique: Migi-yotsu, yori. Edited June 3, 2005 by Jonosuke
