Not a single win for all four Sekiwake/Komusubi after three days!!! (In a state of confusion...)

A combined 0-12 for the the lower Sanyaku - that bears the ugly smell of a record.

It would be even more amazing if they were 0-16 after tomorrow!

if this streak continues, Takamisakari has a good chance of becoming lower Sanyaku this basho B-)

That's impossible, because Hakuho faces Kotooshu tomorrow. But a 1-15 would still be amazing.

I think that is EXACTLY what they meant..

Yeah, but what if *both* Hakuho and Kotooshu go kyujo? ;-)

you know thats an interesting question. not with this match but in general. what does happen? both get a loss?

Of course. This even happened once before, 1939 January basho, day 11. M1w Banjaku and Ow Kagamiiwa both got a fusenpai loss. I don't know the story behind that, both rikishi went on to fight on days 12 and 13 (=senshuraku). Maybe they didn't want to fight each other even to the degree to take a mutual fusenpai... Yeah, wasn't the talk before the basho about how terrible the Ozeki were crap and teh rest of sanyaku were the ones to watch? Or was that just sekiwake? Swings and roundabouts. Seems like the yokozuna keeps going about his business...
