Kintamayama Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 (edited) Are we seeing a new Robocop? In the middle of asageiko yesterday, after 40(!!) consecutive bouts, Takamisakari haulted the proceedings and commenced to lecture at length on life itself. He was so much into it that his face turned very red and he started breathing heavily. "A human is hollow- he has to reach into his innermost self to find strength. This strength will bring him up from the depths to new heights!". The usually quiet keikoba was aroused by his voice. After he had his say, he looked content and continued the keiko session. "Since I am the highest ranked rikishi in the heya, I have to show the young rikishi some leadership", he explzined later. Sumo is great, folks. Edited March 6, 2005 by Kintamayama
Sakana Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 I hope this "new" Takamisakari will show to his heya that he's really a leader, in Haru basho. :-P I like him (when he really fight on the dohyo)
aderechelsea Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 well .... i don't know the context of his outburst but he is starting to act like he looks more and more ....
Kasugaran Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Lay off the poor boy. He is just trying to instill his own brand of confidence in his boys! Takamisakari for Yokozuna!
sumofan Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Takamisakari for Yokozuna! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> damn'it damn'it damn'it (Singing drunk...) you beat me to it. I was going to say: Taka for Yoko. Taka Rules. i hope he has a better basho this time. if only he could get confidence. he is a bit like the Lion in the wizard of Oz: looking for courage that he already has, if only he want to believe it himself. Go Go Go.
Jakusotsu Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 he is a bit like the Lion in the wizard of Oz...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and a bit like the Scarecrow as well (Singing drunk...)
Stephanoshima Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 he is a bit like the Lion in the wizard of Oz...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and a bit like the Scarecrow as well (Singing drunk...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and a whole lot like the Tin Man, especially when he's walking.
Kasugaran Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 he is a bit like the Lion in the wizard of Oz...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and a bit like the Scarecrow as well (Shaking head...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and a whole lot like the Tin Man, especially when he's walking. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Before or after the makeover by the wizard? I am voting for after! Go Takamisakari!
Kaikitsune Makoto Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Oh but there is nothing crazy about passionate outburst for the purpose of explaining life's essence and formulating a life is life in a positive genki genki!-mode. Sakke is immersed rikishi with neverending existence pardon, yearning for self-improvement and painful seld-admonishing in more ways than one! That outburst extrapolated the philosophy of life is life! 11-4!
