I went with Pythons andvoted "to live life"... it's hard to choose juts one of the above: help others, yes. Find a partner, build a house, have abunch of kids, sure. Search for your inner self/god/fulfilment - absolutely. So hard to choose just one meaning of life. (Applauding...)

I think there is no general meaning of life. Everyone has another one. Mine is a combination:

-To live in peace with oneself, with others and with the World

-To develop one's inner self

-To live a life

-To exist

-To love

-and of course: Having fun!

ive thot about this deeply ever since i was about 12 and it really got me down, as i was never able to come up with an absolute answers, everything went round and round like paradoxes and i felt smaller and smaller as i thought more.

there is also a possibility that there is no meaning at all, although i would not like to think so. at the end, i cannot prove anything -being a lil human being-- we simply have too much limitations.

all i can say is

LET EVERYTHING BE.

i just try to live happily, so that at least im not losing out. because when i feel happy, i am 100% certain that the feeling exists, and thats the only thing i myself feel assure of besides uncertainty (as einstein says the only thing we could be certain of is uncertainty.. yeaahh?)

enjoy lots of good food, good music, feel the excitement of ozumo woohoo

dont even bother putting much pressure on myself, at the end, i will die anyway. why bother gaining so much when i will lose it all in a few decades. (not saying that i am a slacker... a certain amount of achievement is definately needed to sustain myself..and of course to keep me happy)

One aspect of the meaning of life is self-awareness. It is important to be aware of one's own breathing, heart beat, proprioceptics etc. Every day everyone should listen to one's own body in a peace for a while. Listening to mind is good too but listening to mundane senses of the body is good for well-being. It is not the meaning of life though.

Since this topic was on the last time, we have had an influx of tremendously many new members. Hence the rebounce of the thread to enrichen your lives.
