The rocket symbol seems random to me.  I see why @Bunbukuchagama is peeved, as the rocket is is headed right up the creature's throat!

Also, it makes the bottle sumo guy on the left in my avatar look a little obscene.  IYKYK.

Heh, just came to find out that any combination of one to three minuses plus a less/greater than sign will now be autoformatted into arrows.

That's a looong arrow with three. It does stop at three, so e.g. four minuses end up looking like this: ----> <----

Also affects the text of old posts made before the update (e.g. here).

The forced 45s delay between submissions turns out to be quite annoying. It usually took me less than a minute to post all six waves for Banzuke Surfing, now it's four minutes with mostly waiting around in a foul mood.

I skimmed this thread to see if this had been raised but sorry if I missed it and I'm doubling up. In dark mode (which I love); there is some funky highlighting going in in this thread: 

I'm wondering if it's down to copy/pasted entries retaining formatting maybe? Not a priority.

A really small quibble:

Currently,when you are within a Forum, as you read the first topic, at the end of the last page it says "Next unread topic".

Before, it told you the name of that next topic, didn't it? 

It would be cool to have that back ...

Yeah, it comes and goes. At this very moment it is slow indeed.

Pictures from old posts with http links won't show if quoted/copied (after posting), they won't get converted to https and only https links gets embedded now. The old posts still show them though and they show in the post before it is posted.

Edit: editing such an old post destroys it of course

New posts within a short time frame are limited. Please wait 18 seconds before submitting.

18 seconds is just the start.

If you want to post multiple items, the delay gets longer each time. I was up to 52 seconds after two or three posts.

Is this something that could be fixed?

I might be losing the will to live after several days of the basho...

Appears to happen anytime the forum gets flooded by thousands of "guests" (search engine bots would be my guess). Currently very slow again, and the guest count is 6,500.

Nearly 7,000 Guests again, and the response is exremely slow. 🤥

600 Guests now, and it's running smoothly.
