The Winter jungyo starts on Sunday, Nov. 30th, and lasts till the day before banzuke publication on Monday, Dec. 22nd, with 22 locations from Kyushu back to the Tokyo area.

10 sekitori are kyujo and can evade this injury mill: Onosato, Takayasu, Hakuoho, Wakatakakage, Ura, Roga, Meisei, juryo Hitoshi, Kotoeiho, Mita - many popular rikishi.

Oonosato - Left acromioclavicular joint dislocation

Takayasu - Deformed lumbar spondylosis, lumbar laminosis

Wakatakakage - Vertebral twisting  (by the pool?)

Ura- Tonsilitis

Rouga - Injury to the origin of the extensor tendon on the left short radial side of the hand, injury to the lateral accessory cord on the lateral side of the left elbow, and contusion of the external bone of the left upper carpal bone

Meisei - Lumbar intervertebral disc surgery

Hitoshi - Deformed elbow joint disease, right upper lateral carpal inflammation, left elbow arthritis

Kotoeihou - lumbar disc herniation , (from all that show-off shiko, maybe?)

Mita -Anterior cruciate injury of right knee, ※Diagnosis issued in Kyushu basho

Kintamayama - Extreme depression due to sumo deprivation and eating bad chanko. Twice.

Tamawashi and the camel (Himukamaru) are out with injuries. Himukamaru has been out since the sixth with the flu, and Tamawashi has withdrawn today. That makes 12 sekitori out of the jungyo.

Tamawashi regularly goes kyujo at the jungyo and escapes the injury mill - he wants his proper streak to continue.
