Documented evidence of ex-Takarafuji wearing a necktie.  This can only mean ... !

But maybe the tie is just attached to the shirt collar ??

Most probably recent surgery is involved there that added him a neck to look more "normal" for the rest of his real life.

Day 7:

If it wasn't for you I wouldn't know how Oshouumi is properly written. I looked on the internet today to retrieve a card in the Orical game and nobody seemed to know. TY

I would've tried to run circles around Dewanofuji until he gets dizzy and falls over. That, or try to get behind him and go for a okuridashi.

That's a good idea!  lure him out near the middle, run around (faster than he can turn) and he'll have no clue WHAT you're doing back there.

OTOH, what can you do back there that you couldn't out front? A leg pick?  I doubt you could lift it.

I think in general people tend to lose balance much easier if someone grabs and pushes them from behind. Certainly in sumo usually if someone gets grabbed from behind it's a sure loss unless a miracle happens. So in this case it seems the best option. To be honest I'm surprised Kazunofuji didn't think of circling around Dewanojo. I know you're supposed to do forward moving and honourable sumo and he attacked Dewanojo vakiantly, but if you keep hitting a brick wall maybe it's time to go for a different approach. If a yokozuna can do henka, a lower ranked rikishi can be creative too. Desperate times, desperate measures as Murray Johnson said.

I thought that too, but it started to look like a Tom and Jerry cartoon or something from that era (Laughing...)
