Tigerboy1966 Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Ochirsaikhan makes his debut with the shikona Terunofuji II. Oyakata says "No pressure".

I am trying to say that even a jun-yusho would be crazy successful for him at this point.
Gospodin Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Hoshoryu goes 5-0 and, expecting the celebration, is surprised when he is told he has not yet won the "Fukuoka-koen" . 1 1

This is the crazy (or ridiculous) predictions thread. He has never got a yusho but he has nine jun-yusho. Thus my prediction for a yusho by Takayasu in this thread. As a stated in my other post, he lost in a playoff in March. That isn't that long ago and if his back is healthy, he can win in double digits. One more thing. He can beat Hoshoryu when he is not healthy.

Yamanashi Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I believe Tobizaru will try to complete a major personal "grand slam": get thrown off the dohyo and run all the way up the hanamichi in every Grand Sumo venue. Another career goal: end up farther than his record 6th row of the crowd. 1
Yamanashi Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Hitoshi steps up to meet Oshoumi on day 5, and they repeat their London results with a physically impossible double tsuridashi. The decision is a torinaoshi while the judges ring up the University of Tokyo Department of Physics. 1

hakutorizakura Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Given how well he's been doing in the first 5 days, NSK will promote Takayasu back to ozeki on nakabi. His (re)promotion words will include something like "will do better than ozeki Mitakeumi did". 3
Fujisan Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 On day 6 the sumo authorities have unwittingly assigned a dohyo sweeper with OCD by the the start of the days 1st bout the ever vigilant sweeper is still on the dohyo edge trying to achieve perfection with his little beush. 1
Gospodin Posted November 15 Posted November 15 While acknowledging that wrestling while constantly being hung over hampered his performance and despite his meager record, an upbeat Mitakeumi looks forward to a sanyaku return, since his visionary oyakata´s advice to "just take on the guy in the middle" is starting to pay dividends.
