Yamanashi Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Our friends at Worldwide Sumo are putting on a show at Comic-Con. Now if they could get a match between Ichi(nojo) and Snorlax, I'd be intrigued. Incidentally, Ichinojo went intai two years ago this month

Yamanashi Posted May 21 Posted May 21 It seems Worldwide Sumo is a different company? Wrestlers include Azamaryu (recently intai M11), Tashi (ex-Tooyama, intai 2007, Ms7), Taichiyama (intai 2022, Ms41) and Matsu (ex-Irodori, intai 2022, J11). This company is run by event coordinators Studio Naginami. Tashi has been a performer at HIRAKUZA in Osaka.
John Gunning Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Person behind this is a producer on some very well known US TV shows. I was offered a contract to be the on site commentator and consultant, but wasn’t able to do it for a couple of reasons, so I connected them with Hiro and it looks like he’ll be doing it. I did have some pleminiary discussions with the organisers and suggested the former rikishi etc they are using. All seemed very professional and they were very keen to avoid anything that could be seen as mocking or disrespectful to sumo culture. 1
Jakusotsu Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Even though it begs for a rant about politics, this is not the place.
