Amateur sumo club here in my home town! I didn't know about them until I saw this article. I'm gonna try to meet up with them this weekend.

They've got a food and crafts fair going at the Japan Hall this weekend from 9am-2pm on Saturday April 26. Link: https://vjls-jh.com/news/springmarket/  Looking at those strawberry mochi, man, I wanna eat them by the handful. Look amazing.

Then Sunday April 27 they are doing a drop in sumo training day. https://sumosundays.ca/register/

My body is in no shape for that though. Too sore right now.

Vancouver here too. I can say I've trained with the club once previously, and they are an absolutely fantastic group. I highly recommend getting out for one of their Sumo Sundays or to their upcoming basho.

That's great to hear, Tochinofuji. My body is held together with tape and glue at the moment so I don't think I'll be jumping in a sumo ring soon, but I will not miss watching the next basho for anything.

I'm also in Vancouver - well, Langley, but that's in Greater Vancouver.

Would be fun to check out some sumo training and/or meet up with other sumo fans!
