Achiyama Posted July 24 Posted July 24 The Saucer Semifinal match I think has to go to penalty shootout. I turn to the Rijicho Jejima for help, Ryishishokunin and Koorifuu both have absolutely the same list of penalty takers. All 8 are the same. How it is possible? I don't know. The Bowl Semifinal match is pretty straight forward. The Winner is Athenayama 1:0. 1
Ryoshishokunin Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Good luck to Koorifuu in the call-to-head-office portion of the game. Thanks Achiyama for your work as refioji these last two rounds. 1
Jejima Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 Hi all - I am about to lose electricity, as we are getting our house up to standards for letting (prior to leaving the country) - and the electrician is already ten minutes late. So, I will do some quick checking. I have checked the match, and I agree with Achiyama, and I agree that it ends (1-1, 1-1 AET) - so to penalties we go. I am also surprised that they have an identical list of penalty takers. My first thought was that I must have had made a mistake with entering the penalty takers into the spreadsheet - so I have just gone and checked the original Survey Monkey responses, and sure enough, Koorifuu and Ryoshishokunin have an identical list, namely.... 1. Spain, 2. England, 3. France, 4. Norway, 5. Germany, 6. Sweden, 7. Italy, 8. Switzerland I know myself (that version from 15 years ago), and I am sure that I would have put in a solution to such a scenario - so I will quickly check the rules....
Jejima Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 Aha! I did have a plan..... Copy and pasting..... If there is still a tie after all of that, the list of penalty takers submitted for the quarter-finals, and then the round of 16 will be used to continue the sudden death penalty shoot-out. Only teams reaching the finals will count- and will only score a single penalty. If there is still a tie after that, then it is the player with the fewest red cards, then fewest yellow cards that progresses. After that, it is the player that did best in the group matches, that progresses. If still evenly matched, then, the player who has/had the lowest ranked ® team at the start of the tournament will progress.
Jejima Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 So, let's do this properly.... Going into the next list of penalty takers, Ryoshishokunin and Koorifuu are tied 6-6 (maximum possible number of penalties converted, due to two per finals representatives, and one per defeated semifinalist.) So, let's take the Quarterfinals list of penalty takers to continue.... Ryoshishokunin starts continues with...... Spain! It's in! Koorifuu counters with..... Spain! It's also in.... 7-7 Next for Ryoshishokunin is.... . . . . . . . . England! 8-7 A lot of pressure is now on Koorifuu. . . . . . . . . . . Germany! Oops. Glances off the post, and misses.... Ryoshishokunin wins the closest knockout match in the history of this game.... Ryoshishokunin (1-1, 1-1 AET, 8-7 pen) Koorifuu What a match! 3

Jejima Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 (edited) We have four refiojis - and four finals, so one each. Jakusotsu and Nekonishiki are no longer competing in the tournament as players, so they can refioji the Cup and the Plate finals. Usually, I have a way of allocating these out (don't ask) - but both fit the same criteria, so I will just do a coin toss to see who gets to refioji the prestigious Cup. Jakusotsu - heads Nekonishiki - tails Find an online random coin flipper... It's HEADS! Jakusotsu will be in charge of the Cup final and Nekonishiki will take the Plate final. Athenayama is competing in the Bowl final - so that will be refiojied by Achiyama. Meaning Athenayama will take charge of the Saucer final. Edited July 24 by Jejima

Jejima Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 Euro Finals Rules The final match is divided into 5 unequal time segments. Times will be the official times given in minutes. The time slots are as follows:- 1. 0-25 mins 2. 26-45 mins (including any stoppage time) 3. 46 - 70 mins 4. 71 - 90 mins (including any stoppage time) 5. Extra Time: 91 - 120 mins (including any stoppage time) Players need to label which part of the match they are predicting. Remember that you predict for all parts of the match for the teams still on your roster. So if you have both teams, you will have 10 slots in total. Label as follows:- (1) = 0-25 mins, (2) = 26-45+ mins, (3) = 46-70 mins, (4) = 71-90+ mins, (5) = Extra Time Players need to highlight their (S) team (substitute team) if still in the competition - by putting it by the first mention of that team in the line-up. The © and ® teams - if any player is lucky enough to still have them - have the same rules as for the semi-finals. Namely, players choose which part of the match (so 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 - remember if no extra time occurs, then any ® or © team in that slot is counted as a 'normal' draw. If extra time does occur, then ® and © teams in that slot get the 'special' powers.) to use the special ® or © powers. This power can only be used once - so choose carefully. For the other four time periods, they count as 'normal' teams. Players need to remember to indicate (just the once) which slot they intend to use the special powers. Normal time and Extra time rules The same as for the semi-finals. Penalty shoot-out rules As previously mentioned. NB: As Italy lost 2-1 in extra time, and Germany lost 1-0 in extra time, Italy is deemed to have come third (due to goals scored) and Germany fourth, should it come to a penalty shoot-out. 'Drone' rules All teams already knocked out of the Euro are removed from the drone's line-up. The order of a drone's squad will be the current order of his remaining teams based on the first mention in the semi-final line-up, from 1st time slot - 5th time slot. E.g. Drone: 1. first team (1), 2. first team (2), 3. first team (3), 4. first team (4th), 5. first team (5), 6. second team (1) etc, where 'first team' means the first team in their previous line-up (for the semi-finals) still in the Euros. 'Semi-drone' rules.... If any player omits to give the 'time' for the match, E.g. 1. England, 2. Spain etc, it will be assumed to be 1. England (1), 2. England (2), 3. England (3), 4. England (4), 5. England (5), 6. Spain (1) etc A drone/semi-drone receives full benefit of ® and © teams (in the first slot where they appear).
