Day 3
Spain vs Switzerland  2-0

Bench Women's Euro 2025 Saucer Quarterfinals

Koorifuu (Portugal) 1 vs Ganzohnesushi (Switzerland) 0

This match is over, Ganzohnesushi’s (R) team suffered a loss and it costed too much for him. But anything happens tomorrow, Koorifuu can not play more, either, because of the broken chain in #2.

Baku (Spain) vs Kaba (Finland)

Baku takes the lead over today, putting his (R) team in the very best position, he has 2 real goals already. If France wins or draws, then Kaba will get a second goal, however Baku will have 3. If France loses, no goal for Kaba. Baku won this match anyway.

How stupid was that by Kathi Hendrich? She did a disservice to her team. France... a team that really never has won anything in a women's EURO and always lost vs. Germany .... (Shakinghead...)

I belive in statistics. Some habits never change and France always failed vs. Germany in a WC or EC (0-2-4). And with 11 vs. 11 I had no doubt Germany would win again tonight.

So, first you write this:

This is the weakest German team ever competing in a EURO.

...and then you suddenly expect them to win because of historical precedence? Get real, man...

So what has France shown with 11 vs. 10 for more than 30 minutes so far? Even vs. the weakest German team ever (compared to the top teams from history winning the Euro's 8x) the French women are not really convincing. But I'll stop this conversation here. You have your view and I have mine.

I hope Berger stays fit for a potential penalty shoot-out. At least she just showed the save of the tournament.

... and the Kanto-sho goes to Germany. With overtime France was playing 120+ minutes 11 vs. 10. And conceded a goal.

Saucer QF - Extra time

Nekonishiki 1:0 Krisachiyama
(Poland) (Wales)

Italy / 0:0 D Sweden
                     L x:0 / Switzerland

Krisachiyama's chain was unbroken in normal time, so we'll start from the beginning with results after 120 minutes for the teams drawn in normal time. And Nekonishiki makes use of his Lionesses' C-status once more to score the deciding goal.

Nekonishiki 1:0 (0:0) Krisachiyama

Cup QF - Extra time

Pitinosato 0:0 Fujiko
(Germany) (England)

Sweden D 0:x L Norway
                  L x:x D Sweden

Their chain was broken at slot 4, so we start anew at slot 5 with results after 120 minutes. Fujiko's chain breaks again immediately, and Pitinosato doesn't have a team left to force a second run through. Stay tuned for the penalty shootout!

Germany 1:0 Portugal

Fujiko has an early miss with Wales, but Pitinosato follows suit with Norway. 1:1 after three shooters, but in the end Pitinosato prevails with his two queens of penalties for a 3:1 win.
