Regarding the extra time of the quarter final, the rules states: "all real matches that were decided in 90 minutes are now removed..." but also: "all matches are considered....... or 90 minutes...." Are the 90-minutes-matchs removed in the first run of the extra time ? Or in a second one ? Thanks, Peter
Jejima Posted July 16 Author Posted July 16 (edited) The matches decided in 90 minutes are not considered for the second run through (when you go back to the matches in the first slot) if needed. Edit: Let's say that two players are tied at 1-1 after '90 minutes' (with both chains broken) and go to extra time. They start extra time at the point after the chains were broken. Imagine that no more goals are scored going to the end of their line-ups, and neither chain is again broken. Then go back to the first slot to continue extra time. In that first lot, team A has a team that won in 90 minutes, so is not considered for the second run through, whereas team B has a team that drew in 90 minutes, but scored a goal to win in 120 minutes.
