I used to be regularly last one on my feet at parties. I think I could've maybe managed one bottle, but I've been properly arseholed and thoroughly regretting it the next day.

6.3l of that stuff (assuming they managed half each) is, frankly, beyond belief.

I wonder what their blood alcohol concentration was. A regular person likely would've had severe alcohol poisoning...
Maybe it actually was rather like half of that amount and it gets more and more with every retelling of that story (Laughing...)

Horse meat is eaten also in Germany, better use the fat as well, rather than dumping it.

Off-topic: I had horse meat once, it's not bad. Tastes a little bit sweet. I had no idea that the fat/oil was used as well! You live and you learn.

Horse oil, also called horse ointment, is processed from the subcutaneous fat of the horse (so, often a byproduct of tanning).  Because of its similar properties to human subcutaneous fat, it easily passes through the epidermis.  Used for dermatitis and general skin softening [well, the Chinese have used it for 1000's of years to get the old qi flowing and stuff].

Onosho had 420 cutters and about 400 members of the general public watched. He had a cheap danpatsushiki, the cutters only had to make a gift of (at least) 30 000 Yen, for Hakuho it was at least 1 million yen, usually it's 100 000 Yen, but mostly at an event with intaizumo. One basho in juryo qualifies for a danpatsushiki in the kokugikan, 30 basho as sekitori qualifies for one with intai-zumo, but the ex-rikishi has to arrange and pay for the event himself. Those who leave the NSK usually have a plain danpatsushiki http://smart-flash.jp/sports/349988/

As planned he joins the skin-care company yokohama-bayu start of April - his new dohyo - he has a wife and 3 kids to support. He used this skin-care products while active

On July 5 (or perhaps July 4 actually, since that was apparently the event's last day), at the ”Lifestyle Week Summer" trade fair in Tokyo, Onosho got a visit from a journalist while presenting the products of his new employer, Yokohama Bayu Shoten, namely one that he helped to develop, whose scent resembles bintsuke-abura.

Basically, he talked about how the company supported him since his active days, how their products helped with his sensitive skin or how he's open to new challenges. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Kakukai (sumo world), mentioning he wants to give back to it, for example with the products he sells and develops, or by helping other rikishi to find a second career in the same area. There was also the curious detail of him using his shikona, Onosho Fumiya, on his business card, rather than his real name, Utetsu Fumiya.

Hmm.  That seems to be a nō-brainer, since many people would know his shikona but few would recognize the name Utetsu Fumiya.
