The copy-paste nature of the early part of program was disappointing, but the first half of the torikumi looked way less obviously scripted tonight and was more entertaining as a result.

My prediction for the final 4 undefeated Hoshoryu, Onosato , Aonishiki and ShiShi, im basing off of the current political situation, full on support for Ukraine by the British Government, hopefully im wrong.

I doubt it. Surely just the unbeaten Sanyaku, unless there are any more unexpected slippiotoshi events.

Does anyone know whose picture this is? I'd love to ask permission to use it.

... too bad for Tamawashi with the slippiotoshi

Yeah, I don't believe that was in the script.

You have to ask Hochi shimbun, they know. They posted it in the article  o  as provided/contributed photo (by someone, who owns/owned the copyright)

M10e Daieisho (1-1)     -  M10w Churanoumi (1-1)
M17e Ryuden (1-1)       -  M9w  Fujinokawa (0-2)
M9e  Midorifuji (0-2)   -  M16w Nishikigi (0-2)
M8e  Ura (1-1)          -  M15w Shonannoumi (1-1)

M2w  Oho (0-2)          -  M1w  Abi (0-2)
M14e Sadanoumi (2-0)    -  Kw   Aonishiki (2-0)
Ke   Takayasu (2-0)     -  M12w Mitakeumi (2-0)
M1e  Tamawashi (1-1)    -  Sw   Kirishima (1-1)
Se   Wakatakakage (1-1) -  M2e  Hakuoho (1-1)
M8w  Kinbozan (2-0)     -  Yw   Hoshoryu (2-0)
Ye   Onosato (2-0)      -  M4w  Wakamotoharu (2-0)

As expected they have kept the top four undefeated rikishi apart, and matched them up with the next four guys in order. Among the 1-1's and 0-2's it's not a Swiss schedule, but I guess it doesn't have to be since the distribution of the final records really doesn't matter here. Will we see the two sekiwake meeting on Day 4 or Day 5?

(Sorry, can't emojify due to the Bug®, but "Laugh").  It shouldn't be difficult to get four of them together during the Japanese winter to do this:  Help-Beatles-Movie-Banner.jpg

(Plus, four big sekitori in kimono will make it look like Sumo moji)

Much better quality to watch from Japan than from Pluto TV, Rakuten R channel shows it all around the world, so it seems https://channel.rakuten.co.jp/

And announced as VOD as well

So far I haven't been able to get a proper VOD, neither on Pluto TV, nor on Rakuten R - both have repeat streams, in which you can't jump back forth, just like in the live stream. Only the live stream from the usual Abema streamer on YT allows that. Rakuten can't be recorded with the usual means, only with OBS Studio, and then the quality isn't better than the recording from Pluto TV.

Tsk to recreate it properly he should have gone barefoot like Paul did.
