bettega will start his Sekitori Sweepstake career with Jk1e Hara.

Hara might be the highest ranked rikishi in Jonokuchi, but has never had a KK - yet.

Kajiyanosho has drawn Jk11e Sadanojo.

Hmmm, looking at Sadanojo's recent records, he seems to be a 'one-and-done' rikishi, in that he only fights one bout per basho. My guess is that he may well be withdrawn at the start of the basho, and Kajiyanosho will need a replacement.... but we will see.

Joputosu will be represented by Jk3w Tsuru.

Oh. Tsuru has skipped the past two basho. Joputosu might need a replacement too.... Stay tuned!

J1E Chanko Thief will be hoping for a little something from K1w Hiradoumi.

Hiradoumi is the first rikishi in Ozumo history to record a double digit KK (as he did last basho) at the rank of K1W, and not get any promotion at all! Hiradoumi is on a 5 basho KK streak - so could be a good draw?

J3W Kaba (my youngest son) has been assigned J14w Oshoumi.

Oshoumi has had three previous bashos in Juryo, and has a 19-26 record in that division.

J7E Kachikoshi gets M3e Mitakeumi.

Since his demotion from Ozeki two years ago, Mitakeumi has never had an MK in the joi-jin ranks.

J6E Taikoubana will hope for good things from J12e Daiseizan.

This is Chinese Daiseizan's first basho as a sekitori. But he starts in good form, as he won the Makushita yusho in July.
