I figured I was in trouble when I thought I picked really well day 1 in Toto and found out I barely survived the cut. When you're actually going well, you're usually higher on the list than you expected. When I then lost the next 3 days and continued losing every other daily game, I was panicking, thinking I was legit gonna go like 1-14 everywhere.

Considering that, I'm pretty happy with whatever I can salvage from this basho.

at the start of each basho I just pray I get 1 KK somewhere

Only would've needed 5 points today in Tippspiel to finish tied 3rd with Norizo, but I managed a whopping 0 points to play myself out of the top 10. I still suck at that game.

I was seeing some green in your future with the Bench and Toto yushos and then I entered Golynohana's site.

I can relate! I think I somehow scrambled a few points from Quad and Norizo Cup, but I did terribly everywhere else (Bench excluded). Assuming correctly whether Terunofuji would compete for the whole tournament or not has been crucial for the pre-basho games this year. I bet on it heavily in January and even won the green mawashi, then got it wrong since! And I can't find any consistency in the daily ones, for some reason. I don't think ever had any points from ISP or TTT, so maybe I shouldn't blame the Yokozuna for my poor showing...

I choked the yusho in TTT. Onosato let me down.

Almost won Makushita in SG too, but it's like winning the lottery - practically impossible.
