It took a little longer than usual, but with the help of Bunbukuchagama we also now have the Final Standings for the Natsu 2024 Masters Series.

It's hard to believe, and yet it's true. Pandaazuma hasn't won a Green Mawashi in almost five years. But with a commanding performance (96.30) in Natsu 2024 he received his 13th career yusho. The Panda won GTB and Sekitori-Toto, got the jun-yusho in Hoshitori Game and Bench Sumo for a total of 11 scores this basho. The Inimitable is back in shape!

Bunbukuchagama had a first breakout basho in a relatively new career, winning his first ever sansho. He receives the shukun-sho for finishing second overall (with yusho in Hoshitori Game and Ozumo Bingo) and also nets the kanto-sho for scoring in eight different games.

In terms of Technique Prizes, congrats go to Susanoo for getting his 10th career gino-sho (more than 23.5 points in pre-basho games, but also more than 21 points in daily games). He now has the solo lead in this category again.

2024 World Championship Standings

His last Green Mawashi was before the pandemic, but now that the pandemic is over, it's time for the Pandaemic again. Pandaazuma (165.52) takes over the lead in the World Championship from Kaito (157.27). Susanoo in 3rd place has crossed the 100 points mark as well (106.00).

Silly question: shouldn‘t I earn 3 points in Hoshitori and Kintamayama 2 instead of the other way round?

Short clarification would be nice.

Well I'm quite chuffed to get 10th overall this basho, I plan on changing my shikona once I get into Makuuchi in my games!

@Randomitsuki To be clearer, I finished 4th in Odd and was due 8 championship points. Instead, I was given 6. It's not that anybody was put ahead of me; both 4th and 5th place were awarded the 5th place points.
