Eskbibs Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 I was looking at the Fuyu jungyo thread, and one of the days it's in Sakai, which is fairly close to where I live at the moment, and it's on a Sunday, too, so I don't have to worry about work. I was wondering if any of you fine people know how one can actually go to/attend a jungyo stop? I presume you can't just show up and enter the building, right? (If you can, then hallelujah.) Apologies if this shouldn't be posted here, I wasn't sure where else to put it.
rokudenashi Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 There were tickets available on the door at the event I attended in October. Pia still has plenty of different seats available so you could just pick them up from a Loppi or something in advance https://t.pia.jp/pia/ticketInformation.do?eventCd=2321895&rlsCd=001&lotRlsCd= 1
Akinomaki Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Attending a jungyo basho is just like a normal basho - you buy your tickets on the web in advance. The NSK schedule page https://sumo.or.jp/Jungyo/schedule_2023/ list the links for all locations, with ticket information. Sakai https://sakai.sumo-jungyo.com/ has still has tickets left, on sale e.g. at ticket pia https://w.pia.jp/t/sumo-sakai/ or eplus https://eplus.jp/sumou-sakai or you go directly to a Lawson convenience store and buy a ticket at the Loppy terminal https://l-tike.com/order/?gLcode=53098 There may be tickets for the day on sale as well, but sumo town Sakai may have a sell-out by then 1 1
Eskbibs Posted December 5, 2023 Author Posted December 5, 2023 Thanks so much for showing the way, I'm a total idiot about these things. I'll get a ticket while I can then.
