Opening this can of worms but it was  a full fledged, move to the side slap down henka if there ever was one. Not even an HNH. 11000 people  at the Kkan let out such a loud collective sigh that my computer nearly crashed. He's injured, he needs wins any way he can get them. I'm all for it. He is way too passive. A bunch of other opponents would have pushed him out in this bout.

Everyone complains that Hokuseiho is 'too upright'... Look at the above meme, Hokuseiho's legs are so long, his mawashi so high, his opponent has a firm grip but nowhere to lift, his hands are already at shoulder height, no leverage. He can easily take the next step to make the top ranks, all he has to do is stand on his tip-toes so they can't reach his mawashi at all!
