As you say in the video Kinta, there should be common sense, but there are some corporations that would copywrite the patterns that leaves fall on the ground, if they could.  There needs to be a balance between fair use and greed.

I've been watching Sumo on and off (in a very amateur and irregular fashion) since 2011, i'm still a greenhorn compared to most here, but this taking down of these channels is one of the most destructive blows i've seen Sumo as a sport/institution take, and for no good reason at all, it's self-defeating and will certainly harm Sumo's future.

I'm sorry you are sad but it's with good reason, i'm sad as well.  I'll be keeping an eye out for any new channel of yours because you're always amusing and entertaining, but more importantly, very obviously a great person to go with it.  Sometimes we just have to keep the faith, no matter how dark times are.  I wish you the best.

You can archive on twitch if you flag the whole video as a highlight.

Just a small note on this, but turning a video into a highlight causes Twitch to re-encode it completely, lowering the quality. So if you're planning on making local copies of streams it's best to do it from the "recent streams" version if possible, before it becomes a highlight.

...and by closing down the whole channel, all of your non-sumo related content (live gigs etc.) vanished as well. :-(

It's a fickle mistress, this newfangled internet thingy.

I have another channel ( https://www.youtube.com/user/HaSixties?app=desktop ) with all the music. And nothing has vanished-I stored it all in a warehouse for now.

Wonder if you can switch to bilibili, China piracy website.

a lot of the older sumo programs there are still untouched atm.

Why can’t the NSK have an app streaming service like other professional leagues, they are missing out on Billions of dollars in revenue and adding fans.

Apologies if this question has been asked before.

They do.

For what it's worth, SPT only had videos on days 1, 2, 5, 8, 12, 14 and 15 of Hatsu. They're under 10 minutes long, with about half of each devoted to local color, and only a few minutes showing a few highlight matches. That's it. So in no way does it provide a viable alternative.

It seems that Rumble is not accessible in France.

Of course I should add that a vpn could be used to counter that but I don't know how many French fans Moti has and how many use one. Anyway I AM his biggest fan (living) in France! So I could use a vpn. ;-)

Testing- I know whet I'm asking for is idiotic  but please try to keep this to yourselves-maybe follow and we'll make it subscribers only.

Maybe not.. Please test and see if it's viable.

Very viable. Scrolling and seeking are working exceptionally well, and no issues with loading video or pages. I'm actually really impressed with their service and made an account to follow you. A shame that as mentioned above it isn't working in France, but no solution is going to work everywhere and for all time.

Looks viable. More followers to move on over.
